Re: 1990 750 Sport Rebuild

Joe, I'm also curious...and by the way I live here in Escondido. Could we be neighbors and not know it?

Re: Disappearing Rural Gas Stations

Thanks, Marty. I did that paint scheme when I first bought the bike back in '88. Along with the yellow accents, I painted out the dark gray lower on the fairing, painted the wheels to match the bike (I have a weakness for red wheels) and had the graphics simplified with white. It turned out pretty g...

Thanks for fixing the images...still haven't got the drill, even though I posted from Photobucket.

Disappearing Rural Gas Stations

On my way down from Mt Palomar, I passed what was once a Chevron station on CA76 in Pauma Valley. Now it's just a dull beige auto service shop. Next door is a "convenience store" which means you can buy stuff you don't need at very high prices, but hey, a guy needs a pick me up every now a...

Re: want 16 inch tires ?

My impression is that J C Slocum, the moderator, has made some attempt to persuade the manufacturers. Haven't heard much lately though, as it's a time consuming and, no doubt, frustrating task.

J C, is there any news??

Re: Front Brake Shudder

A lot of water has gone over the dam since I posted that comment. I was able to score a correct tire for the rear at last summer's VMD swap meet at Mid Ohio (although it must be five years old), but my source for the front couldn't deliver. As a result, I had to fit a 120/80. So far, it seems to han...

Re: Murayama Motors Paso

Ken-san, That is a great photo image, your M-Paso with Fuji- yama in the background. Yes I have seen it many times when visiting Japan. On those trips I occasionally stayed at some on-sen but do not remember their names, sorry. Also, when working for Nissan, I visited the company resort near Hakone,...

Re: Murayama Motors Paso

Ken- san , I really liked the RC30 video. Beautiful cinematography, especially the bike assembly part, of one of my favorite motorcycles. I had the privilege of riding my friend Ota-san's Ducati F1 in Japan some years back. We went to Skyline Drive in Hakone and had a very good time. Thanks for shar...

Re: want 16 inch tires ?

Yesterday I met a guy calls himself Paso John , from Malibu, who said he heard a rumor that Michelin will make a batch of Paso tires next year. I'm sorry I couldn't find out more about this, such as where he heard the rumor. The question is, has anyone else heard this and is there any truth to it? (...

I'll take 2 front and 2 rear, as I mentioned on the other thread, "Can we get a new manufacturer for 16 inch tires."

Thank you, Bernd. This sounds very promising.

Is there a reason Ducati Germany have decided to take this on? If it's because of your initiative, we are all in your debt. Danke shoen.

Re: Can we get a new manufacturer for 16" tires???

G, Right. I like your number better. I must have skipped over that post or forgot about it. Now the challenge is to get an accurate estimate of Paso's still on the road to present to potential mfrs. Just last Saturday, I met a Ducatisti from Argentina who thinks there may still be tires there. Also,...
