Re: Quick Tank Grommet experiment

I used round grommets from an ace hardware. They are an exact fit. They form to the oval when inserted.

Re: Got it started but not sure why

Check the off/run/off switch for grunge around and on the contacts. If you turn the switch to off, crank the starter then quickly switch to run wjile cranking, and it starts, you may have a fouled off/run/off switch. Mine was fouled and caused same starting issue. Cleaning resolved it. Dirty, it did...

Re: Rear tail fairing help

The rubber mounting grommets are of a standard size, and you should be able to get them at any well stocked hardware store.

Re: REALLY stumped now

angelix & streetsurfer - you guys might be onto something. I know the new fuel lines are ok, because I put them on and I put clear ones on because the first couple things I tried didn't fix the issue - and I specifically wanted to see what was going through the lines. ;) But the ignition/kill s...

Re: REALLY stumped now

Check for a voltage drop to the coils. Sounds like how mine ran when there was, due to a fouled on/off/on switch. Dyna coils helped for a while, as they fired better under the lower voltage, but eventually the switch was found to have its contacts fouled so badly, even the Dyna coils couldn’t keep u...

Re: keys locked under seat

The seat pan will flex enough (has for me when I did the same) that if you grab both sides and push forward while lifting near the middle of the seat, it will bow a little, effectively shortening it’s length, letting it move free of the rear latch.

Re: 750 Weber woes - same same but different?

Check for voltage drop throughout the igniton circuit. I had stumbling, misses, fouling of plugs due to fouled contacts in the off/run/off switch. Biggest voltage loss was across it, and from there it feeds the coils. Coils were not getting sufficient voltage. I first tested before bringing out the ...

Re: Original Paso 750 tool kit (board tools)

Just saw this recently. Here is what I have and believe to be the complete kit. I do have the original plastic pouch if you'd like to see it. Please advise if you think I am missing anything....possibly one combo open end wrench? Can't see as how anything went missing. May check the manual later to ...

Re: Wiring on 750 Paso

Looks like it had an alternate horn at one point. Pretty sure the three prong relay there is not part of the stock configuration. Its not part of the stock horn circuit at least. The green/black wire's connector and the grey wire's connector are the stock horn wires. One of the two G/bk comes from f...
