Another thing that upsets the air going into the air filter housing and engine running is if you remove the 2 inlet pipes/trumpets...can't remember why I removed them , but the bike ran very poorly...

Forgot that, have spare brand new wheels and michelin tyres, however the tyres fitted now have only covered 100 miles from new....

Have stripped forks and found it all in good order...very straight forward, used a hot air gun to help removal of old seals but... can anyone confirm the small aluminium sleeve end (LHS) is fitted correctly with taper facing towards the main shaft (the one with short spring)...it dropped off as my 9...

thanks englishstiv, my look seals ok, it was just the dust seals that were cracked...I'm not keen to strip forks down at the moment....unless is it realistic to remove the seal without stripping out? have read if you use heat and screws, then seal can be pulled out...

Worked it out, looking at parts page, the LH washer is incorporated in the speedo drive....now need to strip the forks to replace seals....

My rebuild continues...and so do the questions....I have now removed front wheel to clean discs and replace fork seals. Question 1...should there be a axle washer on axle LH fork, where speedo drive sits? I found one on RHS, but not LHS, exploded picture in workshop indicates they should be one...bu...

Rear Brake Light switch rubber boot

Hi all, just bled rear caliper, noticed the rubber boot that fits over the electric terminals for brake light switch has disintegrated. Is this available from Ducati, or is there an alternative from another model??

Just as Paso750 says above, cush drive came out nice and easy, plan to replace sprocket lock nuts with aircraft spec stainless ones.....despite these minor set backs I am really enjoying working on my Duc with this forums help and looking forward to getting back on the road for the summer.... :D htt...

The mistake I made was that I was turning the concentric clockwise, so axle was at one o'clock position max rather than anti clockwise to 4 o'clock position where you get maximum chain slack before the caliper hits the axle bracket (it hits sooner turning clockwise)...took out two links (106) today ...
