If you can get the short end of the allen wrench on there, you can use a box end wrench [closed end] over the long end of the allen wrench to give you some leverage. [this of course if you cant source a allen wrench on a socket or cant get anything else in there]

thanks so much guys, i still havent been able to locate my ducati documents, and i know i downloaded backups and everything.... so, according to the online site at ducati of omaha that number is superceded by 45120211A and they are 53.99 each and at stein-dinse they are 50.10 US so thats close enoug...

its not too bad, i actually did it on my parents front porch before i bought my house with a garage.
just remember to note where those side cover bolts went , as they are different lengths.
