Re: Paso Security

I'm a millennial and I know what a Paso is. Motorcycles are easy things to steal, particularly those without immobilisers. That's certainly what my insurance provider believes, based on my premiums. I think I'll purchase one of these https://monimoto.com. It seems to be an effective and reasonably ...

Re: $100 907ie

100$ ? is a no brainer , Ispent 350 for my 750 some years ago, I though it was rotten instead I got it back on the road with less than 500$ and then sold it for 3500 (could not keep it unfortunately)

Re: Paso Security

no one will ever steal a 907ie, the first thing a thieve does is dropping it , the suicide stand is a good deterrent already. then it is heavy and without many grabbing points... someone will ssay "they will push it"... year right , if you dont know what you are doing you will pinch your t...

Re: engine dropping onto 1 cylinder

The digiplex can be replaced with the IGNITECH, i am not sure if it will be plug and play , but in kn ow it is feasable and the Digiplex Flywheel will allow a much better mapping than the Kokusan Flywheel (limited to 32degrees) to teh point that you could even fuit a MAP sensor and mimic the digiple...

Re: Ignition Switch electrical mod.

Higgy, those plastic conduits are no good. the best I found are the poliester split ones, they can be fitted on the existing loom and secured with the fabric tape they use nowadays. There are different brands , but the best I think are made by HellermanTyton and the mode series is the "Twist-IN...

Re: Paso 750 MARELLI coils output voltage?

not sure why cause self harm trying to keep something ( the digiplex) that was fiffed only on a handful of bikes (mostly ended in USA and then back to EU as ther wend unsold) that was not intended for the bike, and because of the technology would not last 10 years .... go figure how is possible some...

Re: magneti digi plex 750 2s

Many years ago when I restored a PASO750. I purchased it with the intention of breaking it as from ouside it was horrible and had the tank full of water from sitting outside for years because of a bad ignition. After removing tank and fairing I realised the bike was very clean so decided to restore ...

Re: 1988 Ducati Paso 750 timing belt idler bearing part numb

there vare bearing pullers made specificly for "blind" aplications, this is not the exact case but they could work; there are many videos on the subject on youtube including some usning home made tools. Knowing that you are going to replace them one way is to weld a nu6t on the inner race ...

Re: Issue e with clutch.

I posted the problem on the F1/TT facebook page and one of the members suggested that the thrust bearing could be the bad :banghead: . I then went to check the bearing size on this wonderful site and I learned it is a 608-2Z , so "just because", despite knowing mine is sort of new, I decid...

Re: Issue e with clutch.

I would check the springs unsprung length to make sure they are even . I get the feeling that when compressed the pressure plate is tilting slightly , some paso pressure plates had a spigot that fitted into the end of the input shaft but I dunno just how effective it was . Probly also pay to check ...

Re: Issue e with clutch.

Skate board bearings , I made my brass mushroom out of an 8mm brass bolt , just thinned down the head a bit and chopped shank to length( width of bearing ) it is what I got, although I used BRONZE instead of Brass. It makes such a weird noise after few miles, like a cat being strangled. and I find ...

Re: Issue e with clutch.

just a brief update I got the overhaul kit for the 999 MCs, ythe job id esasy and intuitive despite the "147-different-languages-with-weird-pictures-and-microscopic-writing" leaflet. it took around 30 minutes to do the job and another 30 minutes to do the bleeding. I went for a ride and th...

Re: Issue e with clutch.

Its possible that the outer most seal ( some call it the rear seal ) in the mc is leaking , but when they fail it usually allows air to be sucked in as the lever is compressed and then when lever is released that air is then pushed past the piston and into the "working pressure area " ( t...

Re: Issue e with clutch.

I see your points but ... no... the MCs have a bleeder on them, so any air trapped can get out. I bleed the MC, it works percectly for 5 -10 minutes then air gets in from somewhere; I know this Clutsh is notoriously difficult, but theoretically you should see there is an issue straight away, not onl...
