Re: Fuel tank fitment
To get the position right Id probly mock the whole thing up ( with headlight fitted )with the tank just sitting on the mount and get everything sitting as you want it and then tack it with a mig welder . When I did mine I didnt bother fixing the cracks ,I just welded right round the edge of the patc...

Re: Fuel tank fitment
Mine too , I cut the mount right off , beat into shape and welded in a bit of 1/8th steel plate about 4 inches square ( cant remember exactly what size it was ) , trimmed the 1/8th off the mount and welded it back on . The whole weight of the fairing and 1/2 the tank hangs offa that mount.

Re: 1989 750 Sport idle issue
I have a notion that an injected pump would poke out about 60 psi and if that was hooked to the weber .... return line or not , the carb would look like a fountain

Re: 1989 750 Sport idle issue
the stock pump is ok . There should be a T in the fuel line at the carb , one line off the T goes to the carb , the other is a return line to the tank ( should be 3-4mm id). The length of the return line determines the restriction of the return line . Basically the longer the return line the higher ...

Good point about the alcohol and brass there Higgy :) ( I had to think for a bit  ) I do have some old brass shit , miners lamps old ammo etc , and a lot of it ha...

Re: 1989 750 Sport idle issue
I handed it over to a local technician at https://www.thornburycarburettors.com.au family owned and doing this type of work since the 1960's. I briefed him on the issue\leak and he's going to bench test and find the issue before proceeding with a fix \ service. They're a good source for parts too. ...

Re: 1989 750 Sport idle issue

Re: Paso 750 manifold - header pipes question
Im thinkin that the rear header is narrower because its longer , so as the two headers have the same internal volume . The mis match of the rear header and junction is because there is a gasket/sleeve thing that goes in there too ?

Re: Paso side stand springs
Are you wanting an original Ducati part , or just a spring to do the job? Either go to your local hardware shop , or motorcycle shop ( have a look on the showroom bikes for something that fits and order it ..... probly cheaper than Ducati parts ) .....or there is always ebay . I lost my springs too ...
