Re: 907 EPROM

Has the bike has the airbox opened up? I think if you do a search here you'll find your question has been asked before with the suggestion you call the FIM guys and ask them direct what the chip is. One thing for sure the 23U chip is the leaned out USA spec original chip. Not sure what the consequen...

Re: Remote Radiator cap option....???

Are you having trouble finding the filler neck or the 0.9bar/13psi cap?

If you are contemplating using that whole assembly .... I'm not confident it would fit.

Re: Tail light not lighting up. Question on microswitch.

I think they are separate systems...certainly are on on mine...don't think yours would be different. Have you done the relay mods? Helps not to have all that current running the full length of the bike and through the microswitch. I can help you out with a new microswitch if it's a Cherry DC1 - I bo...

Re: Time for new rubber

Thanks guys - yes, we are spoiled for choice. Woe to our 750 brethren. Thanks for the votes so far. I will read up on the pilots. For what it's worth I find the sportmax's very "flickable" in the tight tuns as well as predictable and sticky.... I guess it is all relative and hard to know u...

Time for new rubber

Hey Guys, looking for some recommendations for new rubber. The sportmax's have been great but they are getting a bit worn and the winter is coming...although it's been an incredibly good summer so far here in the Northwest! So what are people running - any suggestions? Cheers Andrew PS - I enjoy the...

Re: brakelight problems

Hi guys, I did without a working front brake light for a while when I found desmotimes wanted $38 for what didn't even look like the right part!!! I have just found the right one though - it's the same switch used on BMW 650s and some old Guzzis. Here's the info www.happcontrols.com, Part # 95-0863-...

Re: Proud new owner and member-ADVICE?

That external choke is just a fast idle lever. You need to get the numbers off the chip that is already in ECU as many of the bikes sold in the US came with both a performance spec chip and another that runs a bit leaner to help pass emissions codes of the day. If you have one with -023U- on it, tha...

Re: Fast idle after warm up

I remembered reading this post a few months ago and just had a similar problem this weekend. Totally different cause though!! I just finished making the cooling system mods described elsewhere and went for test run only to find the idle speed was way too high and getting higher as the bike really wa...

Re: Coolant Reservoir/Tank and Radiator hose modification:

I just did this mod after a long run of 90+ degree days here in Seattle (WoooHoo!) Anyway I thought I'd share my experience: I found that I could invert the original Y-hose (top hose) and it fitted the Honda filler neck nicely. Upside to this is that I put a bung in the original narrow neck that wen...

Hey guys - anyone have a source for the microswitch on the front brake assembly - mine has evidently given up working.

TIA

Re: body panel alignment

Hey I've got a US 93 model 907 and I've got the same (roughly 3/8") gap at the rear of the RHS side panel...just like the photo above. I've measured everything and messed with the alignment as much as I can but it is still there. I've learned to live with it but I'd love to hear if there is a s...

I could use a set of these also...rubber bits and bullets.

Once you have your bits could you post a summary of what to ask for and from where?

Cheers

Re: Battery question

Ouch, too bad about the shock! It's probably not the (on board) charging system that is at fault - if anything the 350W alternator is under-rated and tends to undercharge. More likely is that because of the undercharging, like most of us, the previous owner left the bike on a trickle-charger...
