I miss my 907....
Had to sell it a couple of years ago because it was driving me insane. Never did figure out why the valve seats were just wearing away, and after taking the extreme measure of putting a different set of heads on it and buttoning everything up all nice, I had just removed and reinstalled the bodywork...

Re: 906 engine block
is that the only problem, and is it still in the bike? If so, repair it - cut/bend a piece of AL to fit the hole as best as you can, clean everything real well with lots of solvent, then sand/file everything nearby so that there is fresh, rough metal everywhere glue might end up. Glue in place with ...

Re: motor turns no start
Having 2 injectors fail simultaneously is pretty rare to impossible. Check the resistance of both; not sure what it should but but more than a couple of ohms and less than, say 50 ohms. Typically bad injectors go open circuit. If you have good power to the connector do you have a good ground? Are yo...

Re: 907ie nOOb
For reference, I've got mine up for sale on CraigsList in Boston: http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/mcy/3059417424.html It's in similar shape to the one you posted. At 3,500 I haven't gotten a single bite, and I'm not interested in selling it for less. I'm probably going to pull the ad; I had to get ...

Re: Steering setup help
Overly tight steering head bearings could do that. Did you set them up carefully? Sam I need some help guys. I just finished putting my 907 back together after wrecking last year. Thanks to everyone on this site who helped with advice and parts. But that's another post. I took the bike for two rides...

Re: Compression Check
Boring/replating cylinders is an expensive process; you might want to consider buying a used cylinder and piston instead. There are a couple of sets on Ebay right now, and the keep coming up on a regular basis. That said, there's no replacement for displacement - bigger bore will give you more power...

Re: Rev counter gears part# 066792160
Hello. Bringing back this old topic, I am finally ready to fit the replacement gears and are surprised how loose the fit is on the camshaft, you can easily slip it on and off with your fingers. I thought this was supposed to be a press fit and are worried that it might be slipping on the shaft, but...

Re: Forks are crooked after asembly
Thanks guys for all the info. Will try it out. I took the forks apart and put a straight edge against the tubes and they are straight. So it's in the clamps. As I was riding down the street and saw the handle bars were not straight I looked down at the lower clamp and it waa cocked to right while g...
Re: ignitech
+1 on Derek, won´t fit. Fr their site: IGNIJET 2007 DUCATI Programmable unit for injection and ignition control for Ducati bikes (Magnetti Marelli units IAW5.9 and IAW5.AM) They have also built replacements for IAW435/P8, with no problems. I've been exchanging info with them and they seem to know t...
Re: ignitech
That's subject to verification, but it looks like yes. The systems have essentially the same I/O and ignitech has made and installed them with earlier connectors.

ignitech
I'm in the process of buying some Ignitech TCIP4 ignition units for another bike, and I realized that with the next purchase my pricing on Ignitech products may get pretty good. So good, in fact, that I'm thinking of buying one of these: http://www.ignitech.cz/english/ignijet/ducati/ignijet_2007_duc...

Re: Ducati Paso Headlight Shell Compare with 906/750
I have had some good successes fixing plastic things with polyester resin , seems to work on some plastics where araldite doesnt want to stick :) Methacrylate adhesives work incredibly well. I have a whole Koito headlight assy that is surplus to my needs, but shipping over the pond would be pricy. ...

Re: dropped a shim
Already tried rolling the piston up,its not budging. Gonna pull the intake off and see if I can get a hold of it. Already have the injection most of the way out of the way and yes I don't think it fell all the way out either Higgy - if its still in the valve guide try a magnet. I've got a little ne...
