+1 on tank vent.Charging system could also be a cause of such behaviour if the fuel system checks out as well as other electrical issues.

assuming your issue is the fuel pump prime ground missing it is easily repaired. Any ecu repair house can do it or with some deep diving around here you can diy it

there are several threads here on the weight of the float. I do have a couple around I could weigh if I can find time to get out to the garage.

level with the top of the card as you hold it upside down. It is possible for these floats to get saturated with fuel as they get older keeping them from closing.
