Cylinder & Head disks?
Hello all, What are the little black disks between the head and cylinder fins? I am assuming they provide some vibration dampening effect for the fins? I have noticed that some of these disks are loose and after bead blasting the cylinders and heads want to know how to re-attach these disks so they ...

Re: clutches and coils
Never ever ever blow out your clutch with compressed air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or Brake clean or any other solvent!!!! Use a spray bottle of water only and let it air dry. There is nothing in a clutch assembly you want to inhale not even once in a while. Once these small particles are in your lungs they...

Yes, That is correct, but at least take it out of the box so you can view the entire bike in all of it's glory.mike wrote:there is nothing wrong with displaying a beautiful motorcycle in your home

CB, Boy no matter where you are from, wife's appear to be the same. I guess they all come from the same mold. Monday night is motorcycle night on TV. (about the only night I watch tv) On Twist of the Throttle they covered MV Agusta and the making of the F4. Now normally I get major grief f...

Re: 1990 750 Sport Rebuild
Thanks G,
I pulled the starter in order to powder coat it, Now I will take it apart and check the brushes.
I ordered the rocker arm shafts, for $30.00 that is a steal.

Re: Has anyone swapped in the carbs from a Monster 750?
For particulars do a search for Mikuni carbs. Many riders here have swapped the weber for either Mikuni or Dellorto carbs. Here is a link that will give you jet sizes for a 750. http://www.postdiluvian.org/~mason/moto/jetting.html Before I started my rebuild I was running Mikuni's and they run fine....

Re: 907ie for sale on Ebay in N.C. USA
Looks like someone traded their Ducati in on a Harley.
No price is listed, unless I missed it.
There is a 907 IE listed on Craigslist San Diego with about 2000 less miles, looks as good, original owner for $2800.00

Re: 1990 750 Sport Rebuild
Well, with the compressor down this week-end we decided to start in on the engine. We pulled the heads and cylinders. Pulled the clutch pack, removed the clutch housing. Pulled the alternator cover and removed the starter. We then disassembled the heads, labeling parts and placing them in plastic ba...

Re: 1990 750 Sport Rebuild
Well it is raining again this week-end, so no painting or powder coating. My compressor died last week-end so I am also down for this reason. I ordered new parts and hopefully I can be back in business next week-end. We are making good progress with buffing, It really helps to have a son who recentl...

Re: Modifying exhaust header for 2 into 1
The simple answer is that changing to a 2 - 1system is suppose to increase your torque. But the long answer is that there are a lot of variables to this answer. Exhaust pipe diameter, exhaust pipe length all can induce changes to back pressure, and the scavenge effects of exhaust flow. Just cutting ...
