Re: highly modified 750 sport: $1600
heh, maybe i can sell it to you and then buy it back later! well, the price is really just to weed out the serious bottom feeders on craigslist. - ive found if you price it at what you want, or expect, you get tons of people offering you like $500 bucks - and no one serious. lets see how the week en...

Re: highly modified 750 sport: $1600
yeah - i suck. ;p) sorta looking to buy a house and i have like 5 motorcycles in various states that i could sell to help- the 750 is one of the good ones but its just not the best commuter in the fleet - which is what i primarily need a bike for. so its concentrate on 1 bike and use the extra money...

highly modified 750 sport: $1600
Well-- recently ive been looking at my array of various motorcycles and thinking about selling a couple so I could get a newer- nicer ride for touring and commuting. the 750 sport may be on the block - but wanted to ask on the forum first to see if anyone here might be interested - or if you knew an...

Re: sigar style exhausts
a lot of the neo-retro ducati/guzzi/triumphs have that style exhaust: did you try staintune? http://www.staintune.com.au/exhausts/ducati/images/Ducati_GT1000_DU_MS_GT.jpg not as cool as the real thing maybe-- :) but they might have something or you can go real cheap at oldbikebarn.com - they have un...

Re: A bit of a poser?
keep us posted on how the 1:1 works out. I tried a 1:1 on my stock sport- and it was way off. recently i have been using a 2:1 - and it is much closer-- but probably about 10% pessimistic.

Re: innaccurate speedo - tyre circumference required please
if it really bothers you - you can get an aftermarket inline adjuster - they are about 60 bucks. my speedo is terrible - it says im doing 80 when im doing about 65.
its nearly not worth having. if i find a cheap adjuster im gonna get it.

Re: How do you fit a fuel pump regulator?
it does not take much to foul the plugs when messing around with fuel and air mixture. pull them and see if they are clean. - sometimes its worth just putting in new ones since its only gonnabe like 5 dollars and then you know they are good. also im not sure about the weber, but perhaps you need to ...

Re: Bought 750SS last night!!
a 600ss race bike? I had heard that they really did not deliver on the HP ~ what have you done to it?
its a cool looking bike though. id be interested in getting one just for the novelty, im not sure - did they ever even import them to the US? ive never seen one in person.

Re: showa 900ss shock -
i checked at the local ducati place and they measured a showa ss shock for me and got the same result - 1cm shorter than what i had. BUT i rode it today and its WAY better even if its a bit shorter. i think if i go to the 17" wheel in the back it will even itself back out.

Re: showa 900ss shock -
yup. im going to try this one and see how it goes. its an ebay item so its possible it was not from a 900ss? it fits fine and clearance seems alright. i havn't road tested it yet - just went around the block a few times and i really could not tell the difference.

Re: showa 900ss shock -
stock marzoochi one is 34.5cm!
its actually longer than the 900ss showa by 1cm. but its a good thing i swapped, the bushing at the base of the spring was cracked and broken -
i cant really feel a difference in height -

Re: 907ie streetfighter on ebay
they had the same problem i did with the overly protruding instrument cluster - just does not work without the fairing. my solution was to remove the cluster and bolt instruments to the tree-- i agree with tamburinifan - tear that assy off and put a regular headlight and smaller panel (maybe from a ...
