So it appears that my US model did not have that switch (which would explain the missing description in the manual) so its the cover plate that is missing.
Mystery solved
The switch marked "A" in the pic is broken off on my Paso. I was curious as to what it did so I consulted the Owners Manual. The switch marked "A" is not mentioned in the function listing. Please tell me what switch "A" does? Many thanks!

So a couple of things to update this thread: 1. I found this on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DF2TP7SQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title The stock threads for the OEM kickstand switch are M8 x 1.00 pitch. This switch is M7 x 0.75 so I had to "MacGyver" the mounting (no threads were da...
Luckily the threads in the swingarm were OK and not stripped. I gently ran a M10 x 1.25 tap through both of the lower holes to clear the unthreaded part. Fitted new bolts and now all good.
I just removed the rear wheel to get a new tire fitted. The lower pinch bolt on the left side eccentric was really hard to undo. I got it out after heating things up a bit but the threads on the bolt look damaged. I used one of the other bolts to check that the threads in the swingarm were OK and I ...
I just got a 130/60-16 front from Summit Racing. Has a 2024 date code on it so not too aged. I also have a 160/60-16 rear on the way to my local Cycle Gear shop. I did have to scratch around to find these so current inventory probably dwindling.
Thanks for the suggestions! I have checked the wiring and the dash light and they are both working. I removed the switch and bench tested it and it is definitely the problem. Unfortunately the switch is a sealed unit (which I found out when attempting to dismantle it) and now it's beyond repair.
Mine stopped working (dash light would not come on with kickstand down). Ducati Part # 037012590 is unobtainium. Let me know if you can help me out.
Many thanks!
