Re: 750 Sport run issue

As far as I know, the fuel pump of the SSie deliver 3 bar. Fuel pumps for the carburators models deliver a much lower max. fuel pressure. I believe the value is something around 0,5 bar.

Re: how do i find year made from frame numbers

The information I could find in the books I have is, that in the first production year 1241 bikes was produced. Beginning with the frame number 751161 the new oil cylinders was introduced. The blue/red version was only proudced in 1988. Change of the fairing desgin was after the frame number 751052....

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss

Rob, it's not a trick. I have only two sets of speedo and revcounter.

Important is that you can clamp the glas with the gasket and the body together in order to achieve a good crimping.

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss

As Paso750 mentioned the revcounter and the speedometer are the same as used for the SS Series from 91 to 97. I’m working on a SS900 (model 93) and finished the my dashboard some days ago. I had problems with the screws on the backside of the instrument which is used to mount the whole unit to the s...

Re: 900 SS spotted in Luxembourg

It's look to me, that this is a Ducati Chiara. This was a special modell produced for the former German Ducati Importer DNL in 96.
I think there where around 50 Bikes build. The fairing and the swingarm was available to buy alone as well.

Re: New Member

I couldn’t believe it. Since 4 years my 750 sport is standing in the back of my car park. I collect some parts that I need for the restart/ rebuild and another beauty entered the scene. http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu301/Bag750/996_kl.jpg But after reading the restoration story of Andrew, next...

Re: 750SS sprockets

So you are running 15/37, which is the original configuration. I was running my SS 750 with the same gearing. 15/37 is definitely too long.
The best compromise would be 15/39. (Thats the gearing I use on my 888)
