Re: Braided brake line problem

The fitting of my HEL braided lines was a bit hit and miss as well. For some reason one of the lines from the splitter to the caliper has a twist in it and I have never been able to make it sit quite right. Mailed HEL to ask about this but never got a reply... :(

Re: Items for sale on eBay Oz.

Thanks for the heads up Lane1! Just put a bid on the rear sprocket. Wondering if I should go for the Weber manifold for a garden ornament? :)

Fantastic G! Will there be cake? :)

Although I haven't been very active of late I'm still checking in on a regular basis. The forum has been a great source of information for all this time and I hope there are many more years to come.

Cheers,

Re: Timing Belt Tension

Hi whitepaso, If I'm correctly informed the play for the horizontal cylinder is 5mm and 6mm for the vertical one. This web site http://www.ducatisuite.com/belttension.html has a description of the procedure using a 5mm or 6mm Allen key to measure the play between the belt and one of the rollers. I c...

Re: Issue with rebuild kits

Hi Rick, The circlip sits in a groove in the casting of the of the master cylinder and this holds the piston in. Could this groove have been filled in the powder coating process? I have to admit that I actually ended up going with a 916 master with a remote reservoir in the end. Even with the overha...

Re: my Paso - a never ending (love) story ...

Hey G, I didn't realise at first, but looking at the pics of your brakes I see that you have 4 piston Brembos with the original disks (and the 6 piston Nissins). Am I right in assuming that they are 40mm calipers with an adapter to mount them on the fork leg? Any other modifications? What pads do yo...

Re: New tires ?

Good to hear you're getting back in the saddle Skins. I'm tossing up between waiting for these new tyres, or to go for the combo of a Metzeler ME880 (180/60/16) and Avon Azaro (170/70/16). Jay from Mildura is using this combination and seems to be very happy with it. I'm trying to squirel some $$ aw...

Re: Possible to replace starter brushes w/o removing starter

Hi Mobius,

The vendor McTool mentioned is Motolectric. http://www.motolectric.com/makes/ducati.html
Very good kits to upgrade the starter circuit from Italian 80's quality to something more useful.
