906 for sale in Auzzi (Brisbane)

I hate, hate doing this, but my Paso is up for sale. I'm shifting to NZ from Auzzi and right now I need the cash for house prep before sale. If not sold I will take it with household effects in a container, which I stll also hope for. Here is a link https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/holland-park/motor...

Re: Radiator Coolant tank mod

...The other question with this mod, it says "cut a slit from the I.D. to just beyond the cap’s inner relief valve". I gather this bit gets the inside of the tank to Atmospheric pressure, but is it obvious how far the slit goes? Anyone done this mod and have a picture?Nick. I mucked aroun...

Re: Tuning a Mikuni with Wideband sensor for AFR

Hey yeah, good comparison ...so I made up an filterbox with a big pipercross filter. And I thought It would be realy rich because of the box, but no, these small pods must produce some kind of flow distorsion or harmonics, because I went from 13,5 afr at about 110 kmh to an almost unrideable 17-18 a...

Re: Tuning a Mikuni with Wideband sensor for AFR

Don't worry Romus I can't bitch slap from here      Yeah, well, you know I couldn't resist trying the Mikuni out. Lucky I have the mentality to keep fiddling with things since having one of these bikes suits that temperament, aye   . Now I want to try ...

Wiring up the charging system

I just redid my wiring harness and struggled to get the charging wiring connections right, but it's sorted now. I read some threads here and in the 750 forum: http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6168&p=49973&hilit=alternator#p49973 http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?...

Re: Paso rebuild after accident

6K would have easily gotten you a used Paso (even a 907ie) here. It is looking really good ! I just would have made different front caliper adapters. Imho they don`t match the rest of the bike. Are you missing the chain slider on the centerstand ? G. Yes, good point, I think I will paint them. I ne...

Re: Paso rebuild after accident

Looks great. How do you like the 17" wheels and bigger brakes? I like the front calipers. Maybe the brackets just need to be black, so they don't stand out so much. Cheers, Phil yeah Paso750 makes the same point about the brackets. I got them some a few years ago when I converted to 17". ...

Re: Paso rebuild after accident

Mr. G. is right, 6k is a lot of money and you could get two bikes for, keeping your bike for spare parts... However, I'm happy you have saved a bike from the wrecker. Ciao Yes, In hindsight, I almost agree I could have got another one and rebuilt that way. It became 6K by some extras I hadn't origi...

Paso rebuild after accident

Here are some pics of my Paso rebuild. It was either part it out :,( after my accident or rebuild :truck: . About 6K  on e-bay and 6 months of tender loving care :) and some :banghead: and this is what you get. While I was at it I added two new pistons and a wiring harness, and new muf...

Tuning a Mikuni with Wideband sensor for AFR

Here is what I learned when tuning my Mikuni BDST38 CV. Because I am using a Wideband sensor and controller to get AFR readings as I tune, this may be of interest to some. I bought a second hand Mikuni BDST38 CV and added a Factory Pro Mikuni jet kit. I also swapped to a Mikuni vacuum pump (thanks t...

Re: wiring manual fan switch

So at the moment I have the second picture setup, via a spare relay outlet. I can change it to pic one if needed. I'll keep watching the debate. I'm slowly getting the hang of this electrical stuff. No worries about any fires around here  http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/ww43/warwick_thor...

Coil relay mod adjusted for 906

I am posting this in case it is useful for 906 owners doing a coil relay mod. I did mine by referencing the '750 Paso Wiring Upgrade by Jonathan Slocum' which explains the mod for the 750 and 'Engine Feed Relay by David Hooau' which applies it to the 906 with a few complexities that I avoided. I hav...

Re: Wideband sensor for Air/Fuel Ration (AFR)

I'm truely tempted........ as long as my bike is not running smoothly, overall in low rpms range or starting after a red light. But the Wideband a/f gauge is only one of the parts. I need also the manual of the weber carb to know where to touch in order to obtain the best response to the gauge. I h...

...You do need to log rides to see anything you could really use. The readings when riding & reading will be blipping around. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvrLkr9UUS0 Do log, several long runs and preferably under load, driving uphill....it is inaccurate. And dangerous, if hypnotized by it......
