Re: fuel gauge bounces

I had the same issue with mine, when the fuel level got down to near half the needle on the gauge would bounce or drop to empty. The issue I found was with the fuel level sender it the tank. The wiper arm in the sender unit wasn't making contact with the coil in the middle. I just bent the wiper arm...

Re: Fuel pump

That one is suitable for fuel injection like what’s on the the 907. You need one that’s for a carby like these: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/123520630798

+1 for the calliper paint. Used it on mine 9 years ago and they still look good. As Gerhard said you have to bake it on as per the instructions.

Re: Sprocket cover interchangeable?

The Paso 906 here has the clutch slave cylinder on the right. So, a Paso 750 sprocket cover should be OK. Thank you for the info. A Paso 750 cover may not fit on the 906 engine. While the 906 has the slave cylinder fitted to the clutch cover it utilises the same engine cases as the 907 and 851 whic...

Re: Timing belts

Anything special about these, or will any good brand of the correct size be OK? The 906 engine is fitted with the modern round tooth profile pulleys same as the 907, 900ss, 750 & 900 Monster and ST2. As angelix mentioned you have 2 choices, OEM or Exact Fit. I did a quick search and got a few d...

No inserts, the brackets are riveted on.

Re: 89 900 ss mufflerscheers

I got these Conti's from Ian Gowanloch, I modified them to fit the Paso, but they were originally for a 750ss. They are straight through design and have a good note to them.

Re: Vacuum take off screw - WEBER

Hi Frank
The only spot is either side of the intake manifold just below the carby. You
will have to disconnect the vacuum lines that provide the vacuum signal for
the ignition module. The threads are already M5 so the adapters will screw
straight in.

Re: Broken Neutral Switch

I installed a new copper washer on my leaking neutral switch, it just began to snug when the head of the switch broke off. The plunger itself is all that's holding the head to the threads. If I break the head off I think getting the threaded part out of the engine case won't be too bad, but, I fear...

Re: Gearbox lever end falling

If possible, grab yourself a ball bearing about 10mm in diameter and use it to flare the rivet end. Place it in a bench vice and tighten it up just enough until there is no more movement in the shaft, don't over tighten it or you risk cracking the lever. Make sure you have the shoulder on the shaft ...

Re: How Fix Crack in the Engine block

A good engineering/welding shop will be able to repair that crack unfortunately it means that the motor will need to come out and stripped down to do it properly. Been there done that. :-(
