Re: Compatibility among various MED 442, 446, 500 etc

G - agree it’s not that useful. Posted more as a caution of what not to buy. And not everyone might have seen the 906 one in the workshop manual to know what to look for when checking other models. Thought it might help get the ball rolling!

Re: Compatibility among various MED 442, 446, 500 etc

All I’ve ever found, via Fiat forums is the MED433 advance curves: https://oi664.photobucket.com/albums/vv10/micklm/A8BED979-AA64-4921-9C3D-18595CEA0E11_zpsy9utvi1h.png https://oi664.photobucket.com/albums/vv10/micklm/B26C7AD5-55C5-4AD0-913D-953E6BFB1851_zpshxntvsps.png This appears to have a lower ...

Re: Mikuni Airbox Mark 2

Hi G, Good points. I'm planning on sanding the foam plug down quite a bit as you suggest to make sure the tank fits well with allowance for the next layer. I've used some epoxy filler in places already to fill parts of the foam plug where the foam didn't set or expand into. Once I've got the plug ri...

Mikuni Airbox Mark 2

Hi all, So I've been running with Mikuni CV carbs on my 906 for a while with a serviceable conversion of the Paso air box. The bottom was cut out and a flexible rubber mat glued to the air box with a couple of holes cut for a tight fit around the carb mouths. While that worked, it was only ever inte...

Re: The real reason it is called a 906. . .

Hi,

I'll try and scan the whole article tomorrow. Not all of it is an interview with Massimo Bordi, but it does make good reading!

Cheers,

Mick

906 Yoshimura Silencers/Mufflers/Exhausts/Uitlaat

Hi all, For sale a pair of Yoshimura exhausts that were fitted to my 1989 906 Paso when I bought it. They are loud. Think open Termi loud. So i'd say they could do with repacking unless you like them loud. Will list on ebay unless there is someone here that wants them first. Could do with restoratio...

Re: Frame Cutting/Chopping

Angelix - That is a most ambitious build. Awesome. ducbertus - a lot of respect for you daring to cut the frame so far back. I'd love to see the finished product. Has anyone else got photos of frame cut jobs? I'm considering cutting an SS frame down for a TT2 replica, and would be interested to see ...

Re: Brembo caliper adapters

Hi, I can confirm these adaptors are great. I've the exact same design, from the same drawing, from this forum, for a couple of years now and several thousands of kms. The new brake setup is outstanding in comparison to the old. http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv10/micklm/ducatipaso%20org/IMG_099...

Re: Possible 906 purchase

Hi, I would check the coolant reservoir tank for leaks (cracking around the outlet nozzle). It's in the top RHS next to the headlight basically. Modifications are on this site to convert it to unpressurised service but having an uncracked one to start with makes life easier. Other than that, I can't...

Re: öhlins overhaul; anyone?

Hi Brutus, I bought a second hand 750 ohlins shock and converted it for use on my 906. I can agree with getting a rebuild done by an ohlins dealer. Not cheap but the difference is noticeable. I was in the Netherlands at the time and used http://www.ohlins-rooske.nl/ They did a very good job. Some mo...
