Re: How many grey 906?
I remember reading somewhere that they produced 200 grey and 200 dark blue. But I can't remember where.

Brake switch - front
I can't get a front switch. The one that screws into the block mounted to the front end. Any ideas? I believe I have replaced 4 or 5 of these in the last 12 years. I replace my brake fluids almost every year and these switches keep failing. Any suggestions? My local Ducati Man says nobody else has a...

That's the beauty of this web site, I say be careful and we get possitive feed-back about the supplier.

Re: Marzocchi M1R - Fork Oil - Which Type??
ATF works perfectly in all temperatures down to zero. I don't like to ride in anyhting less. Then again, I don't like to ride in anything less than 25 degrees really. The manual recommends ATF and it works great. Just one extra click on the rebound and 31 or 32 PSI in the front tyre.....beautiful! E...

Be careful, ask questions. There is no address on the web site. It is also too cheap. It is un-Australian to be dishonest but he may not really be Australian. Check it out before you send your money.

Re: Gear Selector does not engage drum??
I just got the call yesterday from the workshop. Apparently when I reassembled the mechanism after replacing the spring, I didn't locate it properly where the two bolts hold it all together. He tells me it is all fixed. So there you go! Operator error! I must be getting old.

Re: Gear Selector does not engage drum??
I have just had a similar problem. Mine had trouble selecting gears going down. You had to put a slight upward pressure on the lever before changing down. That would mean the return spring is faulty. So I replaced the spring and then I had troubles going up gears. I pulled it apart another 7 or 8 ti...

Re: Oil leak near exhaustpipe
I don't know what to do as I replaced the "o" rings about 10,000 km back and they leaked within a few thousand kilometres. Because it didn't leak until 20,000km one must assume the metal parts have changed shape because new "green' "o" rings didn't fix the problem.

Mick, keep looking for that loose battery terminal or similar. Carbys are not sensitive to bumps. Last time I had that problem was the battery terminal and it killed my clock.

Re: 906 carb question
Sorry I have to reveal the truth. I have a 906 with original Webber. I bought it 3 years ago and it runs perfectly. I don't know what the previous owner has done but it seems perfect in every way except for one........my other 906 has 40mm Dellortos. Yes they are a bit fiddly, yes I have tried to re...

Re: Regulator replacement
I have just gone to a 2 wire setup when my alternator died for the third time. So that was an alternator rewind and a new regulator. This is getting very expensive after 3 alternator failures and 2 regulator failures. Now the upgrade (I hope). Don't com to me for advice for another year or two. I'm ...

Re: Luggage q's
I have a Givi topbox which is excellent and then have soft-bags over a sheepskin to protect some of the Ducati body and the rear of my body on long trips. I also use masking tape to protect the lower part of the body. For waterproofing I put everything in a plastic bag turned upside down within the ...
