dismantled 91, 907 for sale, Melbourne Australia

hi group i have 91 907 that I dismantled some years ago. Whilst I brought it in good faith with no accidents, upon having all the fairings media blasted I found it has been dropped. but no huge cracks. So the details of whats been done & needs to be done; rebuilt motor, new pistons & barrels...

Re: 907IE Radiator Hoses

well mine are fitted & I'm using Evans water-less coolant. We have had some fitting problem though. The mechanic found that the hose that goes past the throttle body, this is the one that is the most complex, when it gets hot & the fairing is fitted it was touching the bolt, causing a the th...

Re: Clutch Issues -- Lazy question Help needed

cant comment on the noisy clutch, though I thought common folklore is that a jingly clutch is caused by a worn basket & plates. I fitted a MPL slipper, very nice it is, thank you, with Barnett plates. They did start to slip, so a clean with brake clean & 2000 grit sand to remove the glazing ...

Re: rear tyres 180/55x17?

ah yes, Port Headland! duh Nigel. I worked on a prawn trawler out of Point Samson in 92 , as I drove around Oz in a Kombi.... I went to Millstream NP. I would love to go back on a bike [dirt] and tour around. Whats a TonofAir? I had a Dominator set up for it years ago, but just never went! Ok , plen...

Re: rear tyres 180/55x17?

thanks Nick me thinks 170/60 is the way to go. You'd be better off with a solid tyre up in Broome ay? I cant imagine you wearing the edges out around there!! Have you ridden the 907 on the dirt much? For our Northern friends you should google Broome. Its a stunning part of Australia, on the border o...

rear tyres 180/55x17?

Hi about to buy new tyres; Michelin Road Pilot 4. the RP4 come in 3 models, STD, GT, Trail, the treads all look the same on the web. Std come in a 180/55x17 vs 170/60x17 which is the OEM size I can get RP4 GT in the OEM size of 170/60x17. My question is, has any one tried a 180 wide tyre? Does it fi...

Re: 907IE Radiator Hoses

well i just ordered two sets. I've had fantastic success with Samco hoses, the fuel hose is brilliant. Its all over my bikes & 928. If your keeping your bike for ever, like me, its worth it, along with Evans Waterless coolant. One set for bike that goes, one set for my restoration bike. Thanks t...

Re: 907 IE tank internal plumbing

except the degasser is on the return line.

That's why I asked about clamping the internal tank fuel line from the non return valve to degasser, as it will be low pressure.

Re: 907 IE tank internal plumbing

thanks guys for the replies. i was hoping the low pressure lines didn't need clamps....I'm pretty sure mine didn't as I don't have clamps left over, so skinned knuckles here I come! The gauze filter to degasser didn't have clamps either, but this is only about a 6mm line, not the main 8mm lines. My ...
