Im in Iowa USA. Honestly I dont know if the chip is ok as I dont specifically know which part in the computer shorted out.

Starter not engaging.
I have a 91 907ie and the starter seems to only engage for about 2 revolutions before it cuts out the starter keeps spinning but the engine doesn't what could the problem be?
Also how do you test to see if ignition coils are bad (ohm resistance etc)?

It was the two butt connectors right before the rectifier on the yellow alternator wires. They were a little black on the plastic insulation is what gave it away.

Mine would stall I would put it into neutral while still rolling and start it back up. I rode it home about 40 miles that way.

My bike did this also. It was the butt connectors on the yellow alternator wires they were shorting out but only at high throttle after running for awhile. I had them soldered together and it stopped happening. I figured it out after running for awhile I grabbed the butt connectors and I could feel ...

workshop manual download problem
I downloaded the manuals but the batch file gives a crash error when I try to run it. Could somebody help do you know of any other place to get the manuals from or can a person post the final file as a download?
