Re: slightly a newbie
May I ask what you paid for it? I have a '93 with 10k miles on it and have been wondering what it might bring if I put it up for sale. I also have a '91 with 50k miles that I'll probably always keep...

Re: shape of the tank
The tank's shape can be distorted by the bike being dropped. One of my 907s have that condition, its pretty subtle but obvious once you know what to look for.
Seems the impact loads transfer from the mirror/fairings directly into the tank.

Re: 907 bursts into flames.
My guess is leaking fuel lines. Both my 907s leaked at the various connections when I first got them. Hose clamps need to be snugged up on occasion as the hoses dry out.

also at 6.000rpm and more ? The primary gear reduction is 2:1 so the clutch basket runs at 1/2 the crank speed but point taken and considered. Again very little was used so even if all of it found its way to the friction surfaces I doubt it would matter. 75 miles completed at highway speeds and cit...

Clutch Relief!
My '93's clutch was driving me crazy with its poor release. It would routinely grab, slip, groan, slip, grab. It got to the point i quit riding it. Routine cleanings did little to help. Yesterday I was going through the clutch once again and I noticed that the teeth on the inner (driven) drum were s...

Re: Another New 907ie owner, and inevitable questions
I've not had any luck eliminating the miss on my '93 despite trying all the ideas mentioned. I believe the fuel pump timing logic is in the ECU. In the automotive world the ECU cuts the fuel pump after a period of time if rpm is not sensed. Among the reasons is to not have pressurized fuel present a...

Re: Sitting at Kyneton
The pump doesn't always run when you turn the key...the pump doesn't crank over unless the line pressure is down... I believe the pump does run every time...if you allow enough time between switch cycles. There is no fuel pressure sensor in the system so the ECU (which controls the pump) does not k...

Re: I need a little DIY maintenance help.
The rubber disk should be there, I have no idea why you have a bolt and nut. The bolt head is obviously making hard contact with the tank (not good) based on the paint. This mount supports the tank, the side panels and rear bolts stabilize it. You can reference the Parts Catalogue available elsewher...

Re: Thinking of Going Waterless
You may need the specialized NPG™ coolant pump, NPG™ radiator with a non - pressurized radiator cap as well as the new Evans NPG™ Coolant. Um..... "specialized NPG coolant pump"....For a 907.......hhmmm From what I gather this applies to high performance (racing) applications and on...

Re: Thinking of Going Waterless
Is there some benefit about the working temperature? I have my red 907 which works much warmer than the black one. Above all in the traffic and in the summer is a nightmare. Any advice? Ciao From what I've read there is a slight increase in operating temperature when using the waterless coolant so ...

Thinking of Going Waterless
I still have a good, leak free coolant tank on my '93 and in an effort to keep it that way I'm considering going to waterless coolant. The primary benefit would be the ability to run pressureless which would relieve stress on the tank and the hoses as well. Evans ( http://www.evanscooling.com/ ) sup...

Re: Bike Stalls Once Warm and over 5500 RPM
Low speed miss fire: do the old cigarette butt trick in the hose of the pressure sensor (I think that's right). Search this site for the threads. du907 Thanks but I tried that. No effect. Interesting problem in that it rarely occurs on first start of day, even after warm-up. When the bike is shutof...
