Re: 900ss Mufflers on a 907 ?

My goal was to build a period sportbike that would have equaled or surpassed a V7sport or a LeMans. These mods happened over a decade. #1 36 Del'ortos with the lip of the intake port smoothed out to get rid of the step. Meh, not much really. Bigger carbs are a waste by themselves. #2 Norris S/ Megac...

Re: 900ss Mufflers on a 907 ?

Does it still have the chrome bores? They tend to flake off. Heads off of a lemon? LeMans heads are only useful with the matching pistons. In reality, there's not much difference between a lemans head and the T heads. I can give you my recipe for a sweet running 850 motor that will rev and make powe...

900ss Mufflers on a 907 ?

I have a set of BUB reverse megaphones that I'd like to put on my 907. Problem is they are for a 900SS. Is there an easy way (like using a 900ss crossover) to mount them?

Re: slightly a newbie

Intere sting. My bike ran fine, but I couldn't leave well enough alone. My bike came with slip ons, and I had a K&N installed when getting her up and going. Runs stronger with the stage 2. stage 1 and 2 not that different. Like the guys from Ferracci said, if you are happy , don't mess with it.

Re: slightly a newbie

Undo the three retaining / mounting nuts, slide the ECU out the side, and flip it over. (also, either take out the battery or cover it. trust me on that). Remove the 4 machine screws and there's your chip. Look for the notch on the chip to determine orientation. I recommend getting a chip puller as ...

Re: slightly a newbie

Installed a Fast by Ferracci Stage 2 Chip and had her re-tuned. It pulls hard from down low and the powerband is fat and smooth.
I wasn't sure about her when I bought her, but this is one heck of a bike. A keeper for sure.

Re: slightly a newbie

I'm into it for around $3,000 including full service, tune and tires.

I did get a great deal on the initial purchase though, and the orig owner has visiting rights!

Re: slightly a newbie and bad ultimap chip

First off, I do not do much of my own work, I leave that to the professionals :-P Soooo... Tank cleaned out of nastiness, new fluids belts tires etc. The Ultimap FIM Chip I bought is a non starter. Fuel pump goes on but no spark. So my guy put the stock chip back in and it runs fine. He's a factory ...

Re: slightly a newbie

She looked pretty, but the tank was full of old gas and varnish. Off to the local ducati guru who has a soft spot for Pasos for a full service. Picked up a FIM Ultimap chip combo off of E-bay. My guy has the controller to tweak it. It's nice to have a great mechanic who is psyched to se a 27 year ol...

What are your sprocket sizes? Is the one in the back really large?
