Re: White frame/ wheels 89 900 supersport

As far as I know there isn't, just a styling thing prolly, most Japanese imports seem have it except the 750 Sport.

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss

The adapters should be available from the Keihin people in Adelaide, but they come at a fairly serious bit of money, bought mine in 2012 with the O Rings required and they were $155 or so then.

Then again mine were not joined.

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss

I've been following this thread since you started it, and it certainly has been an interesting journey. Mine was sold to a site member in 2014 or 15, but the attached picture was how it was setup when I bought it from Old Gold Motorcycles. Mixture screws were a bit challenge to get too, but aside fr...

Great stuff Challenger392 sounds and reads like your getting fairly close to the cosmetic stage of the revival.

Hey David, Funny strange that innit... I'm amazed your son hasn't just upped and and claimed it for himself  I think Challenger392 has lucked on to one of the best bargains on the planet, regardless of damage, I would have crawled over broken glass in shorts to buy that for US350 regardless of ...

Re: 1990 750 Sport for sale

With the fairing there are a several choices, those being repair and repaint, source new or 2nd hand, have made aftermarket replacement panels where needed or put the fairing aside for the time being and try something like this or similar.

Just food for thought

Cheers

Re: 1990 750 Sport for sale

Sounds like a good buy to me. You've got 2 fairly simply choices with the key, just buy a new or s/h ignition switch unit if you can find one and swap it out or more realistically take the ignition switch to a really good locksmith to cut a new key from the barrel. Someone else may have a better sug...

Re: TRIPPLE CLAMP /CLIPONS

Don't you hate it when this happens... :banghead: Have had a set of N.O.S. clipons in a cupboard for years, hadn't had a squiz in this section for awhile, my 89 Sport was sold several years ago to another site member, if you still need a set of spares shoot through a PM, that also goes for anyone el...

It's great to see that the surgeons had another go at plate and screws Hamish, i/o of what was being talked about before, really happy for you that it actually seems to have helped some.

Hey David, at least it's being ridden, which is much better than sitting in my shed being stared at, though mind you it is a good one to just ogle.

So he still hasn't been booked by the local coppers for excessive noise yet then... :fart:

Re: monoshock

You could also contact Ian Gowanloch at Ital Spares 02 6946 2626 and see what NOS items he may have, as Phil wrote the 900SS rear shock from that series will work, had one in my Sport (trackday bike) and it worked very well indeed, it is 6 mm longer as mentioned, but drops straight in without any dr...

Re: 907 i.e. for sale in Victoria

Depending on condition I personally think a realistic price range here for the 907 is $6500 to $8000 the higher being mint and low mileage and more importantly, unmolested with full history. The one on Gumtree for 10K is a 8K bike to me, mind you I've had work done on my BMW Airhead race bike back i...
