Re: ring end gap?
If you can't afford the genuine rings, you can run Mitsubishi Eclipse or Dodge Neon (first over size=88mm). These are 4 cylinder vehicles so you get 2 sets!! I brought them in from the states for about US$60 Did have to get the pistons re-grooved a bit deeper but since I was getting them expanded al...

Back tyre to swingarm clearance
What is the required clearance distance between the front of the tyre to the middle of the swingarm (the weld line is the closest point)
The tyre must "grow" due to heat and centrifical force?

Re: Instrument panel lights - modification
Hi Ethan, sorry, a bit late in replying, Dad died on Sunday and haven't looked at a computer all week. Ummm, used existing bracket (I think there is a photo of it further back in this article - black one) and original caliper on Katana disc. Bearings - use original axle and found bearings to fit whe...

Re: Yamasuzihoncati?
Meter on the instrument panel http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/tt141/atdevries/108_0805.jpg is a "Datel" "DC VOLT METER" "4.50-19.99V" The switch to the side of it turns on the voltmeter and the clock - don't like that going all the time - excuse the pun. Regulator ht...

Re: Yamasuzihoncati?
Yeah, stock coils. Replaced regulator with an aftermarket one - stock are rubbish. Voltage sensor wire (for charging) used to come from the instrument panel but the voltage drop meant that it always over charged. I run a voltmeter on the dashboard - good indication of charging state. I have replaced...

Re: Piston Rings
Clive, I'm guessing you have fixed this prob but for others there are alternatives. Dodge Neon/Mitsubishi Eclipse rings are as cheap as (an you get 2 sets) for $93 US landed in NZ They are 88mm x 1.2 - same as Ducati - you have to get the grooves made deeper but overall its the cheaper option. Mine ...

Re: Elephant gearbox for 750 Paso
According to my book the PASO 750 shared the same gear ratio's with 750F1,750 SPORT,750 MONSTER AND ELEFANT 750(not sure what year) 1st gear 16/40 teeth 2nd 21/36 3rd 24/32 4th 27/29 5th 29/28 The primary drive (crank to geargear connection) was different - PASO 36/71 - Elefant 37/71 but the gearbox...
