Re: Clutch Leak??

Thank you Nick and Stiv, I believe I did not bleed the slave enough. Because it still had to much air in the system, I had no pressure. Patience is not always my strong suit! I really appreciate all of your help. I did use the extender when I installed the new slave cylinder. I hope you all had a ve...

Re: Clutch Leak??

Good morning guys, I need your help again! I have tried bleeding the clutch until there are no air bubbles, but I still have no pressure in the clutch lever. When I pull the lever in to bleed, I have fluid coming out of the slave cylinder bleeder. I am guessing if my master cylinder was bad, I would...

Re: Clutch Leak??

Hi guys, I bought an Oberon slave cylinder kit, since it was going to take several weeks to get my replacement seals. The problem I am having with the Oberon, is there is no bleeder on the new slave cylinder. I know there is a Clutch Slave Cylinder Banjo Bolt with Bleeder Valve that you can use. But...

Re: Clutch Leak??

One other question, what is the best way to take the slave cylinder apart? I tried to take the piston out of the housing, but I had no luck.

Re: Clutch Leak??

I will take some pictures this weekend. Mine looks like your pictures. The accordion seal sits between the slave cylinder and the block. The seals I am talking about are on the clutch rod, when you pull the rod out, there are two small seals, I am not sure if these are the seals that need to be repl...

Re: Clutch Leak??

Sorry for my ignorance, but I only see two small seals on the clutch rod. Are these the seals I need to replace? The fluid was coming from the outside of the slave cylinder. I can't figure out how to take the slave cylinder apart. The seals on the clutch rod look smaller than the diameter of the rod...

Re: Clutch Leak??

Sorry guys, i found the part # for this seal, it is the clutch rod plug # 67210061A. Is it possible that the leak could be from this seal being kinked?

Re: Clutch Leak??

I took the slave cylinder off, and the big accordion like seal has a kink in it. It is the seal that Paso750 posted in the picture above to the far left. I don't remember seeing this seal in the picture of the rebuild kit # 1959023B. Does anyone know if this seal comes in the kit, or do I need to or...

Re: Clutch Leak??

Thank you guys. The fluid was dripping down off of the exhaust pipe. I didn't see any fluid on the fairing. I am going to take the fairing off this week and have a look. I was not sure if I should just go ahead and replace the clutch master and slave cylinder since these are both the O.E. units. Tha...

Clutch Leak??

Hi guys, I just went out to take a ride, and I noticed a puddle of brake fluid on the floor. My clutch reservoir was dry. I did not have time to take the fairings off, I am going to do that this week. I am not sure how to trouble shoot my problem. I have no pressure at the clutch lever, even after r...
