Re: Paso 750 1988 restoration

Welcome Sagi, nice to see a paso saved from parting out ;)
Be sure to check all the electric parts while you're at it. All connections should me clear of corrosion, including grounding point on your frame.
This one is from 1988?

Re: Weber all the way ;)

I must admit that I didnt took the scientific approach. I've read allot of good feedback on the 4.5 vents, so it seems logical to slam a trumpet on the end.. Will see if it runs crap or not.. (again)

Re: Weber all the way ;)

Such mod to the trumpets will change the intake flow letting mutch more air inside the auxiliary venturi. It likely will need a smaller air brake Tx for the reply. I'll look into that. Last couple of weeks I'd to do quite some service on my 851. Had to give it priority, cause none of my bikes were ...

Re: Removing brake calipers

Hi Isak, its normal that the calipers wont come off. You have pull a bit at the calipers so that the brake pads will move away from eachother. Then you can just take the caliper off the disc.

Re: Running problem.

I was thinking of the coils also. Be sure to check corrosion on the pins where its connected to the wiring loom. Had a simular issue couple of years ago. Some sandpaper on the connection pins and it was running on both cylinders again.

Re: Howdy from a newbie in Aus (Melb) - Looking at a 750

Race pipes looks nice. Seems polished as they are deep black original. Dash is different to say at least.. Looks like a bike that was loved by the owner. Be sure to check behind the fairing. If the fairing has its numbers in it, it is at least OEM parts. Look at the state of the engine. Dry, paint g...

Also I have made my own trumpets. Total height is 45mm, chamber inside is 20mm. It is a snug fit, had to tap it slightly to get in place. Length is increased by 25mm. Don't know yet if it works.. Will see ;)

Re: Weber all the way ;)

Allmost there on the tank. I've resprayed it twice to get a better result. Just to see what the result can be straight out of a spraycan. Furthermore I have made a couple of improvements on the intake of the Weber. I have been driving around with an aftermarket K&N for quite some time now. Due t...
