Re: 1992 907 ie Charging System: a backstory and a question

I was remiss in not updating my charging problem solution. all diagnostic work pointed to a faulty RR so I sent mine to rick's motorsports for testing. rick's tested the unit when it was received, and their tech called that day. my RR was faulty so I ordered a new unit, it was shipped that day and r...

Re: 1992 907 ie Charging System: a backstory and a question

yes, thx. have seen that recommendation before. have done continuity checks on all RR wiring, and so far all is well. just ordered a 12v AC rectifier for the next test. from BikeBoy.org: " Fit a dc rectifier between the yellows and battery. This directly charges the battery, and will show you w...

Re: 1992 907 ie Charging System: a backstory and a question

Re: how difficult to reinstall fork caps after fork oil change?

to answer my own question, it's very easy to compress the spring and install the cap. just need to compress the spring maybe 3/4 inch with the socket and ratchet in place, then just engage the threads and screw in. easy-peasy.

Re: Overheating

really sounds like you've got a slug of air in the system, but i'd bring it back to the dealer regardless.
