Re: 750 Sport restoration project
Hi Andrew, Try removing the front guard (fender) and ride over an area where you typically get the dreaded clunking noise. I experienced a similar clunking noise when hitting the occasional bumps... I found the front guard flexes easily and judging from wear marks hits at the lower aspect on the eac...

Re: Fuel Changes in the GB and Northern Ireland.
Personally I stay well away from any ethanol blend. Confusion from the masses continues to surround octane values... In simple terms the higher the octane rating the more compression it resist before detonation. Whilst some argue it burns cleaner, unless you have increased your compression ratio fro...

Re: Want To Buy - Front Wheel for 750
Hi Tom, I'm in the midst of completing a 17" rim conversion... Rear wheel conversion is completed and front wheel is coming off this weekend, so will have both rims available if needed. Having owned the bike since new (1989) I can confirm the red/aluminium Oscam front wheel is very straight, pa...

Cages can fail at times and are typically supplied in a host of materials, ranging from brass, nylon, etc etc, right through to cotton/phenol resin. Just note if it does turn out to be part of a cage, chances are you will continu...

Re: HELP! Rebuild of 1992 907ie clutch master cylinder
Hi Martin, You haven't mentioned when your clutch was last checked/overhauled, or for that matter where your clutch lever used to engage gear drive and how it engaged prior to storage? Several things spring to mind... I would check the clutch basket for notch wear, along with clutch pack stack heigh...

Re: Running on one cylinder
Not sure how you load tested the ignition units (under the seat next to your regulator). I struck a similar problem to you with a cylinder losing spark. The engine would start and idle fine but cut out under load (anything over 3000 rpm). Have you tried swapping over the ignition units , and seeing ...

Re: New Timing Belts and tensioning
For belt tensioning I have used a similar (free) application from ContiTech called Tension2Go: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... n2Go&hl=en
