Re: Running on one cylinder
You really need a multi meter , which with you can measure volts and resistance. A budget one can be had for the price of Feed of Macca's ( a really good one could cost a grand ) . If you have changed over ( from one cylinder to the other ) both the coils and the black boxes and the fault stays wit...

Re: Running on one cylinder
Not sure how to measure the coils resistance? There's a picture in the FAQs. You have the wrong approach and are skipping things. Did you swap the spark plugs or replace them with new ones? so I put the rear coil on the cylinder (front) that didn't have spark (thinking it was the coil) and nothing ...

Re: Running on one cylinder
No carb issues, no coil issues (tested them) well actually no electric to the front cylinder, did the little black ignition things under the set and both are fine....stripped a bunch of wire cover to see if something was grounding out...nothing! I'm at a loss! I do have a full wire harness and think...

Running on one cylinder
1988 750 and its running on one cylinder. As its running I pulled off the front cylinder spark plug cap and it stays running. I stuck a plug in the cap and touched it to the frame looking for spark and nothing. Thought, OK, maybe a bad coil so I picked up a set of used ones on Ebay (that said they w...

Doing the 900ss CV carb swap
I decided to pick up a set of 94 900ss carbs to toss on the 750. I'm sick of dealing with the Weber issues! Whats all needed to make the switch? The carb manifolds & rubber gaskets. I'll end up getting separate filters....anything else I need to get or should know?

Re: Carb tuning HELP
Well I took everyone's advice and at least it's running on both cylinders now so thanks for all the help! With the temp only being in the mid to upper 30's I'll wait to take it for a ride and see if it runs at speed...but at least it's running  I'll report back and let the group know in a week ...

Re: Carb tuning HELP
dcnf44_back _view.JPG Hopefully the attached image is visible - the screws circled in blue are the idle mixture screws, the areas circled in red are the idle air bypass screw housings (screws are recessed within). Hope that helps! Start with both bypass screws closed, and the mixture screws about 2...

Carb tuning HELP
I'm in (Weber) carb hell on the 88 750.....how many turns should the air and fuel screws be turned out? Also - forgive my stupidity but which one is what? You have one on the upper (when looking at the carb) part of the carb then another on the lower part. Is the lower the fuel and the upper the air...

Re: 906/907 rims fit a 750
