Back again

Hello all and hope you are well. The last two years have been used for grad school, and since I had so many things going on I thought it best not to mix fatigue and motorcycling. In any case, I brought out the 87 750, turned it over without plugs to build up oil pressure, then it cranked up right aw...

Re: 16 inch Shinko Tyres for Paso

Hey, This may be a issue with pinch shock which is much more common with low profile tires. Was the bulge on the sidewall or in the summit (top)? 35/40 profile car tires have a very similar issue where potholes are common. I am halfway through my second set of shinko's. While there may be better tir...

Hello all, I am usually the last person to add products to oil/gas, but saw this while babysitting my sick granddaughter. Anyone other than Jay Leno I would pass. In any case the idea makes sense, and like the idea of the Paso running cooler due to less friction especially during the summer months. ...

Re: Introducing

I got lucky Had an early head that had minimal to no corrosion on the rocker arms, and well oiled. however was able to remove the rocker shaft with a 5mm? allen bolt and a set of vise grips. However there is a tool for this that is not overly expensive and have used myself since. The insertion tool ...

Re: Paso Starter question

Found the problem. The outside plastic insulator on the positive terminal had crumbled and shorted to ground. Wonder if I can get a warranty from Ducati after 28 years? ;-) Put on rubber and phenolic washers and sealed up with RTV. Starter works now and off to other issues. Thank you for your respon...

Paso Starter question

Hello all, Have a grounded out starter due to plastic insulator on positive end. Tore down and cleaned up commutator as well as brushes and replaced insulation. Brushes and commutator had minimal oxidation but quickly cleaned up. Now will not turn when hooked up to battery. Original part was 0670508...

Re: swingarm chain slider

While on vacation and on a rainy day I decided to inventory my spare parts and found a NOS upper chain slider for what I assume is a 750. It has had the side tab machined off, however otherwise is complete. Just wanted to clarify if the 750 version has been measured and machined before I install on ...

Could be wrong but may have to replace entire unit. This Ducati part is actually reasonable and about $65 US.

Re: Hello!

At the risk of causing issues with friends the last Michelin's in Ducati Paso sizes to my understanding were made in 2005. (130/60R16 front, 160/60R16 rear) The natural rubber product (belt wedge) that goes between the edges of the working belts on a radial tire degrades over time, and result would ...

Re: instrument malfunction

As a follow up rode test ride. It was about 170 miles mostly in the mountains including highway 28, 64, and 178 in Highlands, Cashiers, and Rosman NC. Not a bad day.
