Re: Timing Belt Replacement Recommendations
I'd be inclined to do what you think. I'd put the bike in gear every so often and move it forward without starting it so that the belts get moved around tight radii, but I wouldn't end up doing that regularly. Belts are long lasting as long as accurately fitted in the first place. I ran my Porsche 9...

Re: Swiss Froggy
Well done!
Sounds like you had a productive day.
My battery is on charge and I'll take my 907ie out tomorrow for the first time this year.
I might go to Matlock Bath in Derbyshire if anyone fancies it?

Re: LED headlight bulbs - H4
Here's a review of the Cyclops H4s that was placed on the Yahoo Ducati Sport Touring group. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/st2_owners/conversations/topics/127843?reverse=1 There are almost sixty messages in this thread but the one I refer to is NickST4 on 23rd November. In case the thread is no...

Re: LED headlight bulbs - H4
Thanks Phil, I have been looking for ages for the type of light in the thread you refer to, but they seem to be non-existent here in the UK. I have improved my lighting by using this type of bulb; http://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/22109428/x-tremevision-car-headlight-bulb in the standard headlamp, but st...

Re: LED headlight bulbs - H4
The Cyclops LED bulbs have a great review on the Yahoo ST Owners Group.
I would buy them myself if they were available in the UK.

Which Yamaha headlamp did you use?

Re: shape of the tank
I just had to go to check, and although the tank is symmetrical the cut-away for the forks in the fairing is a little lower on the left.
Now I know it's not perfect I'm going to have to sell it!
Thanks...

Solvent resistant - including petrol/gasoline - and strong as hell; I'll be using JB Weld.

Re: tank breather
I am faced with a leak from the seam of my 750SS, and after quite a bit of reading, I felt sufficiently reassured to part with my own money (!) to purchase similar items from ebay, but bought the quart size in order to treat a few tanks at once. I haven't done it yet but many reports on this fix are...

Re: Still not got starting problem sorted
Hi Alistair, I posted that advice because I know that fouled or sticking injectors is a problem on older cars which experience starting problems. Difficulty starting from cold can be a problem with restricted flow, and difficult starting from warm can indicate a problem with the injectors failing to...

Re: Still not got starting problem sorted
if the bike has been unused for so long, and you haven't done so already, my advice would be to clean the injectors.

Hi Folks, Sorry for delayed reply; I thought I had subscribed to the topic but have had no alerts :-( Quite by chance I visited the site after looking at something else... glad I did! Hello Mark; I hope you have now taken delivery of the bike you were expecting, and you have found it to be as good a...

Re: Fuel Pump - 3 second priming was bypassed
On my 750 SS IE this is controlled by one of two relays which sit next to the ecu. One of my went fubar recently and the fuel pump ran constantly, at least until it failed to run at all. Replacement relays cured it.
I'll check later to see if my 907 ie has a similar arrangement.
