Idling at 3000 rpm after a hard run
Just wondering if anyone as encountered a high idle after putting there bike through its paces. It’s fitted with the standard Webber carb. A brief rundown, I ended up doing around 40 miles in fast company all was OK until the return home, redlined through the gears coming onto a duel carriage way, t...

Re: Engine oil grade
I've always used 10w40 in the 907 and previous Ducatis until I bought a 1200 MTS. It and all newer Ducatis, including my Scrambler and Supersport, use a 15w50 so Ducati must have a re-think about oil. I'll probably move them all to 15w50 as it will save me buying 2 grades of oil. I use this 10w40 i...

Engine oil grade
What oil grade are you using on your 900ss or 750 Sport.. Only thinking about this as on its last service the Ducati specialist used a 10w40 which I know is correct on the later bikes, but on my F1 the recommended oil is a 15w50 and I seem to recall this is correct? More as the bike is only used in ...

Re: correct chain for 89 900 ss
Original gearing (Final) was 15/37, which is way too tall for that engine. with that gearing @ 8500 RPM you would be going at 142MpH (Max RPM should be 9000) I would go for a 15/39 or 15/40, you loose few miles at the top end (maybe 4-5) but you will gain some "umpf" around the mid range ...

Re: 750 Sport fuel lines routing
Neither of my bikes as a jet or smaller hose on the return, both bikes run fine (750 sport and the 900 both with the Webber) is this a mod or standard.

Any idea if the side stand switch is still available from Ducati? If so, can anyone help with the part number.
