88 Paso 750 For Sale

Hey Guy's, I'm in Prescott AZ. and unfortunately health issues are causing me to sell most of my motorcycles. I have an 88 Paso 750 with a fresh top end rebuild, new tires, new everything, seat, brake lines 38mm carbs, upgraded charging system, starter relay, etc. Bike has 21500 miles. I'm asking $2...

Re: A thought that came to me

I bought the book. The Ducati Paso 750 service manual, in several languages, and compared what it said to what I have on my bike. When it didn't match up I asked questions here, or it was obvious, like the Mikuni 38 mm smooth bore carbs. Mine ended up having all the upgrades like the relay for the c...

Re: Broken Neutral Switch

I had to modify a screwdriver, but it came out pretty easily. I tried to pull the bolt head and turn but it broke off. Luckily when it did it bent the end of the plunger, so the plunger could not slide into the motor. I then modified a long thin screwdriver and was able to turn the threaded shaft ou...

Re: Broken Neutral Switch

I was going to try it that way first. Maybe New Years day, I've got the day off and I was able to set up my propane heater in the garage yesterday. I'll post what happens, thank you for your input!

Re: Broken Neutral Switch

I'm feeling better about tackling this thing, now that I've had a few days of being busy, and time to think about it. I think I should shift the bike into gear so as to relieve any pressure on the threads, and then I think I will be able to get it to come out. Just need a little time and a warmer da...

Re: Broken Neutral Switch

It broke off at the B-line. My thought is that if the bike is in neutral, shouldn't there be something pushing against the plunger? I think if the bike is in neutral and I break the head off the switch, I may be able to unscrew it. With the head gone there should not be much tension or pressure on t...

Broken Neutral Switch

I installed a new copper washer on my leaking neutral switch, it just began to snug when the head of the switch broke off. The plunger itself is all that's holding the head to the threads. If I break the head off I think getting the threaded part out of the engine case won't be too bad, but, I fear ...

Re: Doing the 900ss CV carb swap

I'm setting mine up this week, once the carbs are on, you'll need a small vacuum fuel pump, i replaced the screw in my intake manifold with an M5 x 6mm brass fitting, my fuel line comes out of the tank and goes to a fuel filter, then the vacuum fuel pump then to a t or y, one line will go to the car...

Re: Doing the 900ss CV carb swap

I just did mine, and I am using a small vacuum fuel pump, (3psi), with a return line that t's off just before the carbs. All the info was on the forum.

My first Ducati

Just wanted to say hello, I am Rickman in Prescott Arizona, I'm a Harley guy, been doing old Harleys for thirty-seven years. But, I just traded an old Ironhead Sportster to a guy for an 88 Ducati Paso 750. The bike has 20,000 miles, the top end, pistons and rings and valves were just done, new timin...
