Re: Electrical gremlins

Ok... so I just want a basic charging circuit. I have bought a generic 5 wire reg/rec and connected the two yellow and red wire from the stator, linked the live and wired the ground to the battery. I have charge.

Is this ok to do? Will I combust?

Thanks in advance...

Re: Electrical gremlins

Hi

Thanks for the links.

Replaced the melted connectors and it looked like one was broken but just touching.

Bike now not charging... so I need to try and work through that.

Electrical gremlins

Hi

Looking under the seat today I can see that three electrical connectors have overheated to the point of melting. I think they are wires from the regulator rectifier... any idea what might be causing this?

I am not knowledgeable about motorcycle electrics ... so keep it simple please!

Paso mirrors

Hi

I have a pair of Paso 750 mirrors in red, complete with mounting brackets and indicator lenses. They have some scuffs and scrapes but are in good condition.

Any thoughts on what they are worth?

Anyone looking for a pair?

Regards

Alistair

Paso exhaust

Hi I am using my Paso on the track and would like to fit lighter and less restrictive silencers. I am looking at generic aluminum cans. Has anyone experimented with this? To reduce cost I want to keep the down pipes, is there a link pipe people have used? I had the bike out at a classic parade day l...

Re: Side stand switch

Thanks... I’ve asked the question badly, I want to discard the switch. Do I earth the wire?

I don’t want any form of cut out. The side stand is removed.

Thanks

Alistair
