Re: Batteries

I've got a 1988 Paso LTD, I had a charging issue which I fixed, I installed a voltage monitor that's used for solar panels so I could tell voltage in & voltage out, it works really well, I've got two voltage meters one on the battery and one from the generator, you can watch the whole thing char...

Re: white limited

HI, Thank the Triumph triples for they have provided you with the realisation of delightful & sure footed cornering, the LTD's really know how to go around corners, more delicate and confident than a Triumph sales brochure ... I have a 1988 White Paso LTD and I prefer to ride it rather than my 1...

Re: Fuel Changes in the GB and Northern Ireland.

Hi, I run a White 1988 750 LTD in New Zealand, here we have a fuel company that imports from Singapore & the big four BP, Caltex, Shell & Mobil they are all owners in a refinery, in reality are all just retailing the same product. The independent company Gull that imports from Singapore has ...

Re: spacer between airbox and velocity stacks necessary?

Think of the air going into your engine as balls of air that stimulate the carb to integrate the correct amount of fuel into the manifold, a smooth suck across the jet. What the spacer does is manage that ball of air so it's compact and even, if you take the spacers out, the ball of air will be crea...

Re: The Story of the Paso Limited

I've got a white limited with the original clear coat over the "limited" sticker, 24k miles, and in almost mint condition. sold out of Arizona and into New Zealand, (now it's at home on the lonely twisty roads) .. It has Mukini carbs and Kokusan electrics, it has the american tail light wi...

Re: engine dropping onto 1 cylinder

My 750 Ltd did that although the last time it went on 1 cylinder it stayed on one cylinder and I had a 20klm very slow gentle ride home. It turned out to be one of the pickups which I replaced and off she went again happy as. My thoughts from your explain would be a loose wire somewhere, so follow b...

Re: Rear Axle at 6 O'clock or 12 O'clock

I think it's more important to be comfortable with managing your Paso than the mini handling differences you'll get from 6 or 12 o'clock. So if you're tall go for 6 o'clock or if you're short 12 o'clock, like I did and it made a huge difference when stopping, low speed, getting on etc.. I dropped th...

Ignition pickups ?

My 1988 White Limited Paso #754059 started running on one cylinder the other day, on the way back from a 40klm ride to get an ice cream through classic North Auckland back country twisty bush clad roads with no-one else on them ... every time I stopped the motor would cool down and it would go again...

https://www.stein-dinse.biz/product_info.php?products_id=226863 if you want to by one, but 12euro plus freight is a tall ask, I'd risk it with the wife's cutting board, But if you want to be sensible they take about 10 minutes to make, you can by the plastic at engineering supplies & 25mm by 25m...

Re: 1988 Ducati Paso

From my understanding of the carbs if it's got Mikunis and running well on them then stick with them. My understanding of the Weber is they are very very adjustable so tuning them requires high skill and lots of time. I bought my Paso from near the bottom of the South Island in New Zealand, I had to...

Re: 1988 Ducati Paso

Wow, that's really lovely, did you know there were only 50 white ones made, and finding them in mint condition is rare. I have one that is almost the same, only 23kmiles, although I'm having trouble riding it because of winter, covid-19 and the fact I need a hip operation and find it hard to get on....

Re: Mikuni Carbs

Thanks WhitePaso, secretly I think the LTD was just a marketing idea, (some would call it a scam) but I'm open any knowledge available on this.. I have been told they have hot cams and big valves, which is all very well but people don't always want to drive their bikes between 6 & 8K RPM all the...

The air filters are UNI foam pods, and the exhaust is aftermarket, Alloy in bulk & rear with SS on the bit that goes to the exaust, no brand indicators. ( I can't figure out how to put pic's up ) I see you're in Lower Hutt, I'm in Henderson Vally in West Auckland, I was in "the Hutt" l...
