Re: Rear brake

If you have the 50mm mount spacing on the rear Bevel Heaven in the U.S. has a replacement.

Re: 1988 Paso Oil Consumption

Wouldn't surprise me if the seals were rock hard, given the age of the machine and its long period of inactivity. Didn't get time over the weekend to peel off the body work to pull plugs and conduct a compression test, maybe this weekend. Regardless, I expect to find myself taking a deep dive and pu...

Re: 1988 Paso Oil Consumption

Nope, no oil leaks. Well, some minor weeps here and there, but that's it. I'll pull plugs again this weekend and run another compression test, but last look showed the plugs a bit sooty, but nothing more. This is exactly the scenario I experience with the GPz - it's definately odd. It runs absolutel...

1988 Paso Oil Consumption

So my 1988 Paso appears to be consuming insane amounts of oil, on the order of a quart every 250 miles or so. It has less than 8,000 miles on it. I put it back on the road last year, and when I got it, it hadn't turned a wheel since 2003, so almost 20 years. It had a hair over 7,000 miles on it when...

My thanks to whomever turned my photo rightside up! I have yet to figure out why my photos come in upside down.

Re: Keyed Ingition Switch packing up...

They are indeed wonderful machines. Son Charlie and I took a ride last Saturday to a bike gathering, starting off with me on my Laverda RGS and he on the Paso. On the return ride we hit some wonderful 2-lane back roads and switched back and forth, and the Paso amazed me with its smoothness and compe...

Re: Batteries

Like Whitepaso I got my battery from NAPA. It's an AGM made by East Penn Manufacturing in Pennsylvania. Excellent quality. Been using the same brand in my 1983 Laverda for years.

Re: fairing

On the subject of fairings, has anyone ever tried to modify the mounting setup? Like using Dzus fasteners or similar? You can't really do any service without removing the fairing, and to me it's a total pain in the ass to deal with, especially fitting it back up. I just had mine off simply to replac...

Re: In need of a Weber

What's your starting procedure? I put the Weber back on my '88 Limited. It had Mikuni flat slides, which worked pretty much flawlessly, but like you I wanted originality. It runs beautifully, but first start requires 3 good pulls on the throttle to squirt some fuel into the intake and full choke, an...

Re: How do I rotate photos once attached?

Ok, thanks for the replies. I was out of town so slow to acknowledge. Posting a test pic now that I processed through my Apple editor. Have previously posted most pics using my work computer, which is MS. Pic is my Paso in the shop with a friend's Espada up on the lift. The Espada's been sitting for...

Re: How do I rotate photos once attached?

Ok, so you actually uploaded, modified, and then reposted my pics when you turned them around? Apparently my default photo viewer doesn't save the image in its new position once rotated, because that's exactly what I tried and it didn't work. The odd point is, the images always display right-side up...

How do I rotate photos once attached?

My photos seem to invariably display upside down. I've tried rotating them in my photo viewer before posting them, yet they still display upside down; see my latest update on the repair of my cracked engine case. In an earlier post on the cracked case, paso 750 turned my photos around for me. How di...
