Ed is getting out of the Duc parts! Ah rats, I’ve gotten a handful of things from him.
Do you know why? I’m guessing not enough bang for the buck anymore?

Re: Did you ride today? Show me!
A nice spring day in the Mid Atlantic, I wish there was a zero after the “1” on this sign.

Re: chatterbo Gathering
I thought about going, it would my 1st time, but I also had tickets for the SX in Philly the day before.
I knew I’d be tapped out afterwards so no sense in trying this year. Post it up again next year.
Did you make it ?

Re: Front Tire Change
If you have a way to pull from above, if you have an open ceiling, I use a hoist and a strap run thru the steering neck to lift the front up. The bike would be on the center stand for a tire change. Any more extensive work and I put jack stands under each frame rail, see attached pic.

Re: Did you ride today? Show me!
Got in 20 miles on a cool sunny afternoon.
Had to road test the slave cylinder rebuild, new steering head bearings and fork rebuild. The shifting is way better!

Clutch Slave Rebuild
I dug into a rebuild on my 907ie slave cylinder. I ordered this rebuild kit from Ducati. New piston on the left, original piston on the right. IMG_1171.jpeg In regards to the bore of the cylinder, I’m thinking I can clean it up with a piece of 300 or 400 grit wet or dry paper? Does that seem like a ...

Re: 906 & 907 Factory Manuals for Sale
Hi Ducdaddy45 - yes, I do have the manual mentioned above.
I hope you want to take it off my hands. I’ll be glad someone else can use it.
PM me to do the deal.

Re: Steering Head Races, size of cups?
I ordered the bearings and seals from the supplier Applied Industrial Technologies. It took about a week for them to come in. The attached picture has all the info, I’ll say bearing prices have gone up a lot. I was a walk up customer and I don’t have any connections to get a discount. But if you nee...

Re: fuel filter replacement
Reading thru the 907ie forum, I would copy out things for future reference. The text below was one of those things. My apologies to the original author as I don’t recall their name. Fuel Pump Removal Remove the Fuel Cap surround and seal (8 screws). Remove the breather off the bottom of the surround...

Re: Steering Head Races, size of cups?
During my winter maintenance I found the steering head bearings had a lot of notchiness when going thru lock to lock of the bars. Previous forum posts have been a great help, and I thought I’d post up some current info on what I’ve learned so far. 1st up is the replacement o-ring for the groove in t...

Re: 907 Resurrected
Wow, that’s really nice. Thank you for saving it and not parting it out. I agree with the $5K+ estimate, I paid $4750 for my black one with 16K miles earlier this year. You could try to list it over at Ducati.ms. That site is pretty active, maybe a buyer there. You may want to consider Iconic Motorb...

Re: Did you ride today? Show me!
Fall is in full swing in the Mid Atlantic states.
This week just might be the last of my work commutes on the 907ie before I switch over to my BMW RT.

That does look really nice.
