Re: Best voltalge regulator suggestions
It was raining yesterday so I had some time on my hands. I took my voltage regulator off (A 15 year old Electrex RR51) and replaced it with the original Ducati voltage regulator that I had replaced. Since the Electrex is charging the battery and otherwise working I wanted to see if the battery light...

Re: Best voltalge regulator suggestions
Replaced the plug connectors from the stator to the voltage regulator. Replaced both brake light switches and now brake lights work correctly. Had a fork seal blow on a club ride a couple of weeks ago and dripped down and ruined my brakes. I have finished replacing my fork seals and replacing brake ...

Re: Best voltalge regulator suggestions
Higgy, Found the stator wire plugs melted where they plug into the voltage regulator plug at the steering head. This is not the first time. Put voltage meter at battery and at rest have about 13.14 volts. Start the engine and volts go up a little over 14 which seems to be normal after a start up. Th...

Best voltalge regulator suggestions
My battery light stays on sometimes from idle to about 3500 rpm. The battery is charging. I can ride all day and the battery light goes on and off. lights dim with the turn signals. I have no brake lights, switches are checking out OK. Sometimes the light comes on at idle, sometimes not.
Thanks

Bad Voltage Regulator?
My battery light is coming on/going off and sometimes flickering while running 2,500 to 4,000 RPM. It does not come on at idle. I checked voltage and I'm getting 13.14 at idle and voltage keeps climbing as I get up to 4,000 RPM, would probably keep going higher with higher RPMs. I figure voltage reg...

I believe I have the black plastic chain guard. I'll look tomorrow and let you know.
Also for graphics these guys can make everything. They make them for Ducati's restoration projects.

Re: Electrical help please.
As I was reading your posts I was about to suggest looking at the plug into ECU. Happened to me years ago. The bike just quit. I did the same as you, started checking everything and just so happened I was working on something and saw the plug hanging out. Push back in and all worked. I too used a zi...

Re: Fuel flow issue
Also I would check into using 900SS fork seals instead of the standard 907 seals. They are stronger and will last longer. There is some modification to make them fit. You can look it up on this forum. I did it and no leaks, 5 years now.

Re: Fuel flow issue
Pages from 907 IE Parts Catalog-3.jpg That's the Degaser #40. Or maybe some trash got dislodge when removing the tank. I would check and blow out the steel tubing in the tank. Also there is a "fuel reversion valve" #13 between the injectors and the degaser. The regulator is just behind th...

Re: Upgrading front fork springs
Just a suggestion: I have replaced and cleaned my forks several times. I have a new set of 907 fork seals in a drawer. I don't use them anymore. I use 900SS seals from the same model year or later. I installed the 900SS seals more than five years ago and still no leaks. The original 907 fork seals le...

Need help finding Ducati parts
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get some info/leads from you guys.
I'm looking for the top fairing, the part that encompasses the headlight for my 2004 ST3.
Thanks for any leads you may give.

Arch,
Good luck finding that. I've been trying to find a new lens for years. I have a small crack in a corner on mine. It would be cool if someone could make one, don't know what that would entail.

Re: $100 907ie
Arch, Take a look at this site. https://motolectric.com/makes/ducati.html I put these wires on mine and man does it make a difference. Bike starts just like they say, and it saves on the battery and starter clutch. And since my engine has been "built" and has more compression I needed some...

Re: $100 907ie
Arch, Since you have so many Pasos, doesn't one of them start and run. If so I would check voltage at places of interest on the one that runs/works and compare to the one that doesn't start. Also check the square white plug on the left side zip tied to the rail back about the tail end of the tank. M...
Re: New 907
Archie, Just call me with any questions. I need to get by your house for a visit. Went to the Italian weekend at 2 wheels in Suches Ga. at the end of June. I took the Paso but only got to ride 7 miles. My cousin and I arrived Thursday night and on the way to Dahlonega for dinner he crashed riding hi...
