Re: Clutch slave bore trashed
Another very delayed reply - the bore and sleeve on my clutch slave cover by Ducati Technical Services cost £110, in 2015, plus 20% UK VAT (tax) and postage. I don't do large mileages any more but the clutch was still working OK a couple of years later.

Re: Clutch slave bore trashed
A very late reply, but I've had 2 bearings go in the slave piston on my 750, the second in particular appears to have spun the piston and grooved the bore. I put a new piston in as an experiment but the clutch action was far from smooth, I assume as the piston was tilting and catching on the grooves...

Breaking blue 750
A friend of mine here in the UK is breaking a recently imported low mileage US spec blue 750 - he's keeping the engine, forks, and wiring loom but everything else is available, except for a handful of bits I'm having as spares for the next time i crash my 750. Bike was used daily during the ...

Paso/Sport silencer
Hi, Can anyone help identify a brand new spare silencer I have please? The part number is 037084105, it seems identical to an original Paso 750 silencer except that it has 2 studs instead of a welded on mounting bracket and doesn't have the built in lugs to clamp it to the exhaust pipe. I have photo...

Re: Bleeding brakes and master cylinder
I also think it helps to hold the master cylinder in such a way as the 2 holes in the actual cylinder bore are at the top, the air you're trying to get out of the fluid (from the banjo bolt, etc) has to go somewhere and that's where it will escape. I tend to put the new fluid in the cylinder, put th...

Re: Paso mirrors (again...)
Ingenious! But do you have to look out for dry rot now as well as rust :D On the 750's clip-on type of pod the mirror and white plastic mount are held to the metal frame in by a pozi screw and hence are easy to remove. I'm trying to think of a neat way to hold the shell to the metal frame so I can t...

Re: 80W front light bulb!
I replaced the 60/55W bulb with a 100/80W on my 750 (legal in the UK - I asked the police!), but added 2 relays, one for main and one for dipped beam, as the lighting from a standard bulb was getting dimmer over the years and I wanted to stop the headlight current all going thru the light switch. Th...

Paso mirrors (again...)
Has anyone successfully repaired any original Paso mirror pods? Over the past couple of years I've collected some battered pods, all of which are in need of repair. Indicator lenses are still available, while the mirror glass can be replaced with one from a Suzuki mirror - I don't know which model, ...

Re: PASO 750 REMOVING FRONT TIRE
I can just about remove the wheel with the bike just on the centre stand. To avoid damaging it I remove the front mudguard, then the 2 brake calipers, loosen the fork pinch bolts, then use the large Allen key from the toolkit to undo the spindle. By taking the weight of the bike at the bottom of the...

Re: can't get it fixed
Hi, Just seen this thread. When I removed the rear suspension linkage from my 750 (owned by me since new, so as it was put together by the factory) I only had 1 shim/washer between the linkage and the frame brackets, on the near (left) side. I could see where the linkage had been rubbing against the...
For the same reason of reliability and lower current I tried an LED rear bulb (18 LED's, including 6 arranged radially to act as a number plate light) in the taillight on my Paso and it was rubbish! Much dimmer than a standard incandescent bulb, with a poor spread of light. The stop light was also v...

Oil Sight Glass
Recently got my 750 out again after not riding it for 2 years. I've finally decided to do something about the oil sight glass - the glass (or whatever) has some small cracks and weeps oil when the engine is hot. I've removed the main nut and had a good look at it but can't see if the glass comes out...
