Re: Start sprag clutch spring

Shortening the spring that has lost tension isn't too goo. It's best to start with a new spring that hasn't seen and work. Jon, My postings[and yours] are from 3-4 years ago. Had no problems with shortened spring, have since sold bike and have heard no problems from new owner[also on this forum]. A...

Re: Another misfire variation

I hesitate to post this reply since happened to my Chevy V8, BUT, almost exact same symtoms. Carburated, HEI ignition. First start in morning would be smooth and normal, two to three miles on would start running very rough, stay this way for two three miles then smooth back out and run smooth rest o...

Re: Paso 907ie key blanks

[I, the '91 907ie uses a different key blank than model years '92 and '93.[/quote]

At least the early '91s. They used the remaining stock of 906 locks. Keys 4 classics came up with that info and sent the right blanks with no return on the wrong ones. Good people to deal with.

Re: 750 Öhlins to 907IE ???

Went thru all this a few years ago when trying to find Ohlins to fit 907. 750 IS different. Also Ohlins at least U.S. can't or won't build one to fit. Ended up having Penske build me one. Very good unit. Sold bike to keepsdad on the site. Says very happy with shock.[and bike]

Re: starter sprag bearing

unscrew the spring apart, cut about 25mm off the tail of it (the thick end) screw it back together, and refit it (don't try to pull the ends apart or you will loose the tension on the spring). Cut off thin end, not thick end as this is where you screw thin end into. if you cut off the thin end (tap...

Rest assured those are original calipers. Known the bike since new and maintained up until time you purchased.

[ If just the internal cable broke and the housing is fine, you can sometimes cut down another cable to the proper length. There may be some places that can make the internal cable for you. The cut end will have to be squared off to run the gear. Most any auto parts store sell a universal kit to rep...

Way i've always dealt with this issue, and not only 907, is to reset oddo when filling up and knowing what is safe from empty mileage to refill at.

If,and i say IF the parts are comparable to the 907 and all you really need is the inner cable, local auto parts house will have kit at really reasonable price. As to pressure switch, see your local Suzuki dealer with your old one in hand. Can't remember what part number is, but used on several mode...
