Re: Rocker arm refitting

A reply so soon! Cheers Hamish, you're the man, I can see that. I will give you a ring tomorrow (saturday) as I'm coming down this weekend and can detour via your way on the way home on Sunday. :)

Rocker arm refitting

Hi guys, don't know if many will see this as I can see the forum is real quiet these days. But there might be someone out there who has the knowledge/experience I'm after. So yes, my 750 sport is still a current project - just! I have to admit enthusiasm is not as high as it once was lol. I dont bea...

Re: 1990 Ducati Sport 750 LIVES!

Thanks for the update Pete. I'm hoping to get back to my bike soon after getting side-tracked with another bike. Well ! Dont leave us hanging..........what other bike 😁 Nothing of interest to you guys probably, it is an Aprilia RS457. I did some mods on it ( first time I've flashed an ECU myself) t...

Re: New Ducati Sport Owner Melbourne AUS.

Well, latest is a RWC.... pretty happy about that. I have a note from Vicroads stating I dont need a Victorian Safety Scheme (VASS) engineers report...VERY happy about that. I have filled and forwarded all the club permit paperwork. Its cool to look at the photos when it was in bits in the shed, an...

Re: 750 Sport swingarm crack

Looks good. I'm thinking of doing the same as a way to change my rear ride height. My new Hagon shock is about 5mm shorter than original and its not adjustable for length. I have the skills and gear (at work) to do it myself so no cost involved.

Re: Another fuel line Q

I dont have any lines on the LH side of my bike so cant help. Is it to do with those emission ports that your model of carb has?

Re: New Ducati Sport Owner Melbourne AUS.

Yes that looks correct. The return goes straight up onto the bottom of the tank. My line does not have the pronounced dip and the main line runs straight through to the back of the tank with the return Teeing off it vertically. Six of one half doz of the other...

Re: Fork Service/Rebuild

Just my 10 cents but for what its worth I would take those forks out and pull em apart as that oil will be well old and you wont be able to clean them properly in place. Also a chance to replace the fork seals as they will be old too and being made of rubber... not an expensive part. That's what I d...

Re: Cleaned up Carb

 Yeah I've got too used to perfectly mapped fuel injection. And if it's not perfectly mapped then I flash it till it is lol. I'll persevere for a bit longer as it's become a long term project now, then failing that I'll try some Chinese flat slides haha. One thing I have eliminated is the cutti...

Re: Cleaned up Carb

Interesting. Both those ports on the side of my carb are blocked off with machine screws that look kinda factory. I cant see in your photo where the other end of the hose goes to but there's no nipples or anything on either of my inlet manifolds. I wonder if this is why my bike runs rough when getti...

Re: Cleaned up Carb

My carb only has one fuel line coming into it. The 'computer' one is a bit bizarre, what year is it? I'm sure my fuel line set up has been changed from stock but the main feed hose that runs from the fuel tap has a 'T' join in it mid way along and a hose runs off vertically back to the tank. That is...

Re: Front axle alignment issue

Yeah it'll be the stand compressing one fork more than the other. Stands that locate under the steering stem are the way to go. Then you can pull your forks out easily to work on them etc. Worth investing in. Another way round this would be to winch the front of the bike up with a rope/strop around ...
