Re: Coronavirus
I glad to hear that you and your family are recovering. I hope that we see and end to this pandemic sooner rather than later. I only managed about 300 miles on my 907 last year and maybe about 1500 miles across all three of my bikes.

Re: Emptying fuel tank
Remove the hose from the outlet stub and connect a suitable length of hose to it with the other end in a can. Then bridge terminals 30 and 87 of the fuel pump relay socket and turn on the ignition. The pump will run continuously and pump the tank dry. Unfortunately you need to remove the fairing to ...

Re: Rectifier overcharge fix.
The voltage drop is happening at the ignition switch. On my 907 I fitted a relay, switched by the ignition switch, that supplied power to the fuse box and all the ignition switched circuits, bypassing the ignition switch. A similar mod would fix your problem and also supply the correct voltage to th...

Re: 750 paso ignition switch
750, 906, 907 and 750/900 Supersport all have different part nos. but only the last 3 characters change so probably differing connectors/cable lengths. I be surprised if one from any of these models didn't physically fit but might need the wires adjusted.

I am very, very impressed by this build. Well done. I'm sure the MOT will be no problem.
Re: Cog gear
Ah. That makes sense and explains the length of the bolt.angelix wrote:on the spare parts catalogue the gear is held with a circlip and the gear pin is bolted to the crankcase trough a long allen bolt.
my guess is that the pin is fitted with a slight interferance, and the bolt does the holding.
Re: Cog gear
I presume you mean the starter intermediate gear? As far as I know the shaft is an interference fit into the crankcase half although I can't find any reference to replacing it in any Ducati workshop manual. Short of dismantling the engine you should be able to use a length of tube and suitable washe...

3D printed replacement indicator switch stalk
There is now a solution for all those LH switch blocks where the indicator button has broken off. A user on the ducatiforum.co.uk posted this link https://www.shapeways.com/product/ZUE3FP5AR/ducati-indicator-armature-for-switch-036138454 I have a broken LH switch with the indicator button broken off...

Re: Replacing fuel pump undertank electrical harness.
Later Multistrada 1000/1100 and the 749/999 series suffer from this issue where the wires break internally inside the potting compound. For these bike's there is now a replacement part available but many owners fixed them by digging out the potting material, replacing the wires and re-potting then w...

Re: Centre stand
Hi Todd, I think all centre stands end up getting a bit out of shape as there can be quite a lot of side leverage put on them and it will always be trying to twist them in the same direction... Check all the weld points before and after you have a go at bending it as I have seen them start to crack...

Re: Ducati oil filter part no.
Thanks to all that responded. That was very helpful. Derek, that is quite a list of substitute filters. I was surprised not to see K&N or Wix or Mobil 1 in the list... It's quite an old list to be honest and in need of updating. The K&N for Ducatis is kn-135. Wix is WL7101. I can't find a M...

Re: Ducati oil filter part no.
The current price in the UK for a factory filter is £12.54, about 16$ US, so not much different from the K&N price. The UK cost of a K&N is just over £14 although they can be got for about £1 less from some outlets. Still cheaper with the factory filter and much cheaper with a Mahle but the ...
