Running on one (sometimes)

Hi I am not at a loss as to what to do next with my 906 in terms of getting her to run OK. I have got her to run beautifully in the garage for anything between 2 and 20 minutes. Then all of a sudden she will only fire on one cylinder. (Horizontal). Pops and bangs through the exhaust when this happen...

Re: Thermostat repair

Hi Thanks for your comments. It's working so far! The paso has not left the bench but I have been messing around trying to get the dellorto/pump/regulator set up fully functional. It's been up to temperature (fan on) and cooled down about a dozen times so far. Of course the real test is on the road....

Re: Paso parts

Go to 906 section as someone is planning to buy a few in bulk. We may get them cheaper and allow ourselves to have a spare on the shelf if the price is right.

Re: Indicator lenses again!

I will definitely pay up for a LHS one. If the price is A bit less than the Amazon one listed above I may want a RHS as well.

Re: Indicator lenses again!

New old stock left hand mirror and indicator lense on US eBay. Far more than I'm willing to pay ( they want 250 dollars! About £180 !!!!!!!) and I only need the lens - hence I'm bringing to everyone's attention. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-750-Paso-906-907IE-Left-Mirror-Red-New-Old-Stock-/16218...

Thermostat repair

I thought I would share this repair as some may find it useful. The first photo shows the state of the thermostat on the paso I am currently reinstating. As you can see the steel ring has corroded and allowed fluid to leak. I did pick up a second hand aprillia thermostat and planed to mess around wi...

Re: Measuring the float height

Thanks Higgy that is what I need to hear. It makes more sense now. I have no idea how it ran before but if I have had to change the float height so much I suspect there may be other issues in the setup. I'm sure I will find your other carb posts most useful in the coming weeks.

Re: New member

Hi Benelli man. Ace cafe meet is a great idea. Some of the London Ducati boys pop into the meeting as it happens. Must admit I rarely do it as its a PITA riding diagonally across Central London. However, it would be great to meet up with someone who gets the tamburini masterpiece! See you soon. Best...

Re: Measuring the float height

Thanks for that Derek. If you look at the two photos you can see my dilemma. The first one is as I discovered it. It looks miles out and with the angle of the float it's not actually easy to say exactly what the float height is. The second one is after I have given the float tab an almighty bend dow...

Measuring the float height

Hi, I have replaced the needle valve (and washer) that feeds the float chamber with fuel. Having read the posts here it's obvious the height is critical. However, what exactly is one measuring up to for this height? The plastic float is all angles and curves around 42mm dimension. Pictures on line s...

Re: Project paso

The post clean photos did not upload so I will try again. I have taken the carb off this afternoon. Have a kit from euro carbs so hopefully this should be enough. The petrol pump has been replaced with a non standard electric pump. Ummm? Will see if this works as this was the last thing done to it b...

Project paso

Hi, I thought I would post a few pictures of my 906 I purchased last week. Although I'm at the important finishing off stage of a allazura/pantah project, I have found some time to do a bit of pointless cleaning on the 906 project. As discussed in the announcements section she was neglected in a sto...

Re: New member

Hi yes it is the £850 one. Thanks for not bidding:-) It was taken in by a couple of guys who did bits and bobs on bikes over 10 years ago. Cutting a long storey short they guy could not pay. Has been sat in a metal container gathering a very thick layer of dust every since. One of the partners died ...

How man are left?

Hi. In the uk we have a site called ' how many are left' basically I think,it goes through the licensing records for vehicles (DVLA) and tells you the numbers. According to it there is only one 906 taxed and MOT ed for the road and 3 registered as unused ( called a SORN). I'm sure there's a few dead...
