M1R dust cap on amazon
Hi just spotted on Amazon dust caps for the M1R forks at £12. Just ordered a pair as the seller only had 3 left. Will report back as to how they look. Mine are certainly cracked and unpleasant looking so a good buy. Don't know if these are hard to find but know from personal experience lots of 70's ...

Re: Any golden tyres/Shinko tyres left?
Thanks for all the current pointers to stocks of 16" tyres. This should be useful for a few people over the new few months I'm sure. Mine have arrived today so should be fitted this weekend. Paso750 is correct, unless we use our paso's ( and F1's dB1 's etc !) the demand for 16" will reduc...

Re: Any golden tyres/Shinko tyres left?
How did you do that!!,!, top of the class. I spent a good amount of time googling for the tyres last night without joy. You are a super Google star. I have just ordered them at £209 of our ever depreciating pounds from candw. Should have them fitted by a local tyre place by next weekend! Grazie mill...

Re: Any golden tyres/Shinko tyres left?
Just to add. Having re read spaggys earlier post I can sort the front end out with a contisport attack 130/70ZR 16 from mytyres.co.uk for £87. I'm still screwed with the rear tyre unless I mess about with the swinging arm spaggy style. I want to use her NOW!

Any golden tyres/Shinko tyres left?
Trying to source some front and rear tyres with little/ no success. Golden tyres uk website has both front and rear listed. I was a bit shocked at the price of £275 for the pair so was curious if there was delivery on top. At the next stage it tells me they are not available but will be 'back ordere...

Another one back on the road
Well after a few months I have finally got the 906 fixed, MOT'ed and taxed. Another one back on the road. I took her out for a couple of hours into the countryside and a most pleasant ride was experienced. I had to take it very easy on the corners as it still has the 10+ year old tyres on it. (Just ...

Re: Indicator lenses again!
I needed a left hand lense to get through the MOT (annual bike test in uk) so I took the plunge with the FAR units advertised on Amazon (about £90 from memory). The lense definitely fit and looks fine. If one was being hyper critical you could say they were about 1mm smaller around the edge but you ...

Alternative connector for alternator
As mentioned elsewhere my 906paso appeared to have some rather unsuitable replacement cable into the alternator. Procuring some 4mm csa wire is not a problem but connecting to the pair of yellow wires to the regulator is an issue. I do have a decent 'proper' crimper for regular size connectors on a ...

Re: Running on one (sometimes)
Thanks for that, this is really useful. I did purchase a pressure guage so I would have some idea where it was set. The high quality Chinese item I purchased proved to be a bit less than optimal I.e. It didn't work. Have ordered a different one so hopefully I can set it to something like your sugges...

Good point I'm always looking for the complex interesting answer when there's a simple one on offer.
I guess another sale for golden tyres 16 inch will encourage them to keep making them,

Re: Running on one (sometimes)
Well this may be premature but I may have sorted the beast. After one of its regular ' I'm going down to one now' routines It bloody well ran on the other cylinder and stop on the previously ' good' one. Back to the carbs then!!!!. With the air box off I gently sprayed a little quick start done the ...

Re: Fixing the 16" tyre problem
Hi spaggy. This is an excellent post- thanks for sharing. I spotted another rear wheel solution elsewhere see photo. What are your thoughts? I'm a but concerned at how much higher the rear of the bike could be with some chain tension positions. ( does a 16 wheeled bike need even sharper steering!!!!...

Re: Running on one (sometimes)
Tried the coil switch over- no change.
Never even thought to check the ignition switch Higgy- sounds like you have experience of this wierd cause of the fault. I'm now onto it.

Re: Running on one (sometimes)
Hi thanks Benelliman. A good suggestion. However, as part of the recommissioning of the bike I checked and reshimmed the valves. They are as close to perfect as possible. It's almost like there is a switch being turned on and off causing my problems. Which of course indicates an electrical issue. Ho...
