Re: Paso 750 - oil screen leak

Hope not, but worst case scenario is an overtightened oil screen which caused a hairline crack in block.

Re: Rear shock options

Lets say the period 900 SS spec is bit more real at 73 hp... ;)

The Öhlins, although being from the 80`s just works and as good as on my MTS 1100s -07.

Re: Rear shock options

88 hp is a bit optimistic...
Mail Rudy. info@duc-only.nl to see if he has any used Öhlins. Usually around 200€, well worth the money.

Starter motor most probably just worn brushes, not too hard to fix. And cheap.

Re: Cracked engine case 1988 Paso

I had a hairline crack near oil lines to cooler on my M900.
Used a mandrel to smear together the metal to stop pressure, then thoroughly
cleaned surface and used 24 hour Araldite epoxy.
Lasted 3 years/over 20 000 kms before l got it welded up.

Re: 907 in need of some love

Sonic cleaning and flow testing of injectors I`d do first. Take ALL electric connectors apart and clean and grease them second, what l did even l bought mine, had no problems of that kind since then. Extra check starter circuit, relay and bolt to starter. Check tank pump and electrics, change filter...

Re: new "faster" tires

For me, Michelin Pilot Road 3 worked very well. Good grip, predictable pretty fast turn in and pretty flickable. Go with 160 for better flickability. Not so fond of the newer PR. Nowadays, on my MTS 1100s, l just love Pirelli Angel GT, seems made for this bike. Flickabe, predictable and very good gr...

Not an upgrade, an alternative.
No increased performance.
The diaphragm on vacuum pumps do fail sometimes so less reliable IMHO.
