Re: New here

The Wilbers US guy got back to me: HI Randy, Unfortunately there is no listing for the 750 Paso, only the 907 Paso has a Wilbers listing. However Wilbers will prototype and hand build a shock for you. They do not charge extra to custom build a shock, but you would need to either send them your old s...

Re: New here

In regards to a shock for the 750 Paso: I contacted Wilbers and received this. Not so helpful, but there is contact info for the US: :phone: Hi Randy, I am out of the country on vacation this week with limited computer access. I return tomorrow and I'll be in touch then. Thanks for the inquiry, I'll...

Re: New here

Thanks for the pictures! Looks very nice, very clean. Don't you just love that body? That rear tire looks as though it has only seen straight roads. You're about ready for a new one. I believe there are much better alternatives that a 17" conversion, but it's great to have options. Keep us post...

Re: Oil over fill perhap?

Hello again Delagem: I finally took a photo of my Paso's front brake light switch, and I've posted it in my online gallery as a picture in the Ducati Paso album. It's the last picture and you see it no doubt. I've shorted out the green and red wires to confirm that the switch is broken, so I'll be n...

Re: Oil over fill perhap?

delagem, you wrote "I would be very interested in hearing how that brake light works! I've got a few uniquely engineered setups, but always like to see other methods." in reference to a brake light switch for my front brakes (I have a non stock Goldline Brembo master cylinder w/ remote res...

Re: Oil over fill perhap?

Well my learning curve on brake light switches is really steep. Thanks for the EBay connection, and for the Western Power Sports website: that one looks like a great replacement if mine is faulty. Nice Price. I've found the wires for the switch up front and I'll have to find the best solution once I...

Re: Oil over fill perhap?

Thank you again for your kind and encouraging words, I feel so great being among such good folks with so much knowledge. In regards to the brake light switch for the front master cylinder: your intuition was right- there is no switch to be found, and of course the light does will itself on. I apprec...

Re: Oil over fill perhap?

Thanks for your kind words and interest! It is an '87 750 Paso with the wrong nomenclature for some weird reason that I do not like, but I did not do that or the mods. A local Ductati Mechanic, Lawrence, formerly of Munroe Motors S.F. now at Hattar Motorsports San Rafael executed them before I purch...

Re: Oil over fill perhap?

Well, You guys are just tremendous! Thank you so much for your help. I will take my huge syringe and suck that extra oil out. By the way, I did notice that there is a port in front of the gauze filter that corresponds with that little alloy screw. I put all that oil in because I was not thinking (mo...

Oil over fill perhap?

Distinguished Gentlemen, After a weekend of maintenance, refurbishment and polishing, I drained the hot oil after a 50 mile ride, cleaned the gauze filter, changed the cartridge filter and added about 3.25 litres of Castrol 20W 50 ignoring the sight glass. Upon inspection, I realized the oil level h...

Re: Paso 750 Rear Tire solution (160/60/16)

" Hope you got a chance to get a close look at my set up without any of this BS..... Very inexpensive tires, no sprocket spacers, sticky enough to drag hard parts. 1,000 miles now with no regrets, very happy with these tires, only unknown is how they will do in the wet and I hope not to find ou...
