Re: The Mega Paso Project
And new bikes that needed to be bought :) Another one that required work, of course. BTW, I had to have a front sprocket machined. I wish I could find some spare retainers, because they would work quite well for the Paso sprocket shimming project (about 3.5-4.0 mm offset). Dual radiators are mounte...

Re: The Mega Paso Project
It's hard to believe that it's been about two years since I have last touched this project. I am done with my master's degree, though. That was the main thing keeping me from working on this, well, that and everything else seeming to need work/repairs. I have a guy lined up to reweld the section of ...

Re: Ducstock at Barber next weekend
Anyone going to make it to the Ducati Meet this coming weekend in Alabama??? I will be there on my Indiana. IF you see it, look me up. I wanted to go, but the wife never told me if she wanted to or not, and then I discovered that the Bimota can use a set of chain and sprockets. Unfortunately, I'll ...

Re: The Graduation Gift...
I also noticed that the bike has been stripped down to the bare frame so the frame and swingarm could be repainted or powdercoated. From what I've noticed about the way it was put back together, I have decided to check a bunch of things, so far, the engine mounting bolts were about 1/3 and 1/2 the t...

Re: The Graduation Gift...
lucky you`ve noticed in time. I`ve seen aftermarket anodized aluminium sprocket nuts also for Ducatis. These had a steel insert though. These had steel threads like a Helicoil in them, but a couple of them were loose inside the aluminum. The replacement steel nuts held on fine over the weekend. We ...

Re: The Graduation Gift...
Sometime between being at the dealer's (as a consignment) and arriving via transport to me, it decided to drop the spark on the horizontal cylinder. I'll try to determine what is wrong with it over the weekend. It turned out to be a bad coil, so I bought a used set of coils for cheap off of eBay an...

Most of my favorite toys have arrived with issues , I got the paso coz the PO couldnt get the electrix sorted, I dunno about you but this sort of "reincarnation before use " makes the icing on the cake for me . I read somewhere ( old book ) that motorcyclists knew far more about their mac...

Re: Bought a 1988 paso 750. wow
I guess he just turns the two screws. I wonder if using a big socket is really good though as this will press on the bushing, bearing or rotor while the other tools press against the crankshaft. My puller was the same in design, but instead of using a socket, I stuck a bolt in the threaded end of t...

907 and 750 Frame Rail Compatibility?
I've got a friend with a 907 and no side stand or mount for one, and I have a spare Paso 750 frame rail with the sidestand mount (no stand). Will the Paso 750 frame rail fit the 907? Thanks.
