I forgot about the Digiplex - since my 750 doesn't have one.

I wonder just how much of the electronics the partial bike has. At first, I was thinking that the complete wiring harnass and all components were gone.

Re: ECU availability

I have a chance to buy about 1/2 of a Paso 750. The engine/frame/swingarm and rear wheel. No electronics come with the bike. How hard is it to find an ECU? Can I just wait it out on eBay? The bike doesn't have an ECU, it has a dual ignition system consisting of the pickup, ignition module, coil, wi...

I haven't heard from him in a couple of weeks, but last I heard he still have both of them. He's in north-western NC, so he isn't too far from many places in western VA.

Re: Paso pronunciation

If I can remember correctly, a few years ago I ran into a guy from Tuscany and he said that, depending on what region the person would be from, that is was pronounced either "pah-soh" or "pah-zoh". He said it would be similar to the difference between the North and the South int ...

Re: Bought a 1988 paso 750. wow

ok so got the chain brand new , and the newer front sproket, but theres no pinion locking plate to keep the sproket on. will have to call around for that. are those pretty universal? I found it interesting, but my Paso uses larger diameter bolts for the sprocket retaining plate than my other Ducati...

Is it the angle of the picture, or does the output shaft look awefully short to anyone else? It looks like it's broken with the end snapped off.

Re: Murayama Motors Paso

I always wondered about the intake sound with those tank openings and the airhorns with no filter at all. I would guess it wouldn't be too much worse than my ST2 with the whole top of the airbox cut off. I can hear the throaty intake noises up to about 5000 rpm, and then all I can hear is the engin...

It is just an awesome looking bike! I surfed around on the Internet and found this.... htt...

A tin of steam and a long weight can be found at most plumbing stores, just send the apprentice down for them. Reminds me of a job I had where we had copper and aluminum punch-out pieces from a metal working process. The guy training me told me to go get a "copper magnet" so we could easil...

I made a puller from a small piece of flat bar stock and a few bolts. They are pretty easy to make. I'll have to see if I have any pictures of it. Worked great on my ST2.

Re: Paso 750 Rear Tire solution (160/60/16)

I'm still very cautious about the modification and am keeping a close watch on the bolts for the rear sprocket and the front sprocket shim mod to make sure none of them loosen up for any reason. I have marked all the front sprocket bolts with lines for orientation and left the sprocket cover off fo...

Re: Bought a 1988 paso 750. wow

Welcome... For the noise, I would suspect that a small piece of the broke case is still inside and will require splitting the cases. At least this is a guess without hearing it. If I were you, I'd casually keep an eye out for a good deal on another engine. If you find a good deal on one before you s...
