Re: replacing & tensioning belts - food for thought - maybe

Hi G, I know but are there different qualities from Dayco and Gates or do they have only 1 quality? Also is Gates better or similar to the Dayco quality? Why did you change the hexagonal teeth to rounded? :?: Where do they come from (monster)? Just interested to know if it makes sense to cha...

Re: replacing & tensioning belts - food for thought - maybe

Hi G, To be honest, it scared me a bit reading this  but I have another question related to this topic: Which belt (brand and type) did you use? :?: Contemporary timing belts should last longer than those of the 70-ties and 80-ties. Need to change mine, so interesting to know which ones to or...

Re: my Paso - a never ending (love) story ...

Hi Gerhard, Looks beautiful but could you be so kind to post some overall pics of your bike? Having seen all these details makes me wonder how she currently looks like. What are the items you want to tackle should the exhaust project been finished? Also wonder how the weber runs? Have...

Re: New member - in need of some advice ...

Both are interesting (pitty Menton is a bit far  otherwise would like to see it 6.500 km  !!!)
Wil certainly contact them.
1 question though: I see 2 different types of standard mufflers .... what is the story behind it?
I only knew the Silentium ones (suite the Paso best).

Re: New member - in need of some advice ...

Danke Gerhard,

I' ve seen them, find anything over €3.000 a bit steep (for a 27 year old bike).
Also would like to keep the mileage under 30.000 if possible.

Wil see .....

Re: New member - in need of some advice ...

Have taken a look yesterday at an early 750 with original floating discs & Ohlins shock, but was not the one for me (was noto very well maintained, so would cost me to much time and money to get in a nearly new condition). But I think I really want to go for a 750 notwithstanding it might have t...

Re: New member - in need of some advice ...

I do have experience with SD (Bimota) and am very impressed with the knowledge they have. Also the P&P ist just marginal more expensive to Belgium. I did read that the FZ750 headlight is often used as a replacement. Are both the 85-87 as also 89-94 useable or are they different to each other? SD...

Re: New member - in need of some advice ...

Hi Nick, You say that the 750 is the smallest of the 3 versions, I assumed the 906 has the same frame and "plastics" ? I thought the 906 was merely a 750 with just a bigger 900 cc watercooled engine, a 6 speed gearbox and a different paint job (white wheels and idem white underside of the ...

New member - in need of some advice ...

Hi, let me briefly introduce myself. I live in Belgium and currently I do not have a Paso (do have a.o. a Ducati Monster 796 & Bimota SB4s) but I'm considering to buy and restore a Paso which I know from when I was young. My main question is: which of the 3 versions (750, 906 or 907) is the most...
