Re: brake/clutch fluid resistant paint

Powdercoating is brake fluid resistant (tested).

Re: Fuel Pump 750 Sport 89

Stein Dinse does and has a fuel pump.

If to expensive, I saw it was also used in Citroen BX and Peugeot 309 ... could try dealers/partssuppliers of those cars in Israel (just an option).

Good luck!

Re: brake/clutch fluid resistant paint

Gerhard, Australian dollars are not US dollars.... Also: it's an example: just more or less any 2K paint will do the trick (clutch cover will become maybe 125 celcius/260 fahrenheit max. I assume and all 2K can take that). Eastwood is just a well known brand in the USA for cars & motorcyle resta...

Re: brake/clutch fluid resistant paint

Hi, A 2K paint should do the trick (the most chemical resistant paints). In Australia you could use Eastwood 2K Aero Spray HT Engine Paint Gloss Black. http://www.ppcco.com.au/eastwood1.html But be a little careful with brake fluid (that's really aggressive stuf). If you spil it flush it immediately...

Re: Clutch Preasure Plate Repair

Mc tool, Yes they are both steel, but I thought a cause could be different alloys. But in the meantime I've asked a professional welder and his first/immediate reaction was: " that is the work of a layman, most likely autogenous welded without adding any metal. Almost sure that the crack is jus...

Re: Clutch Preasure Plate Repair

Oh, and I don't think the springs have anything to do with it: the plate is fixed to the aluminium back pressure plate pillars once the bolts are tightened. Also checked my springs and they had all exactly the same length, 41mm. Still my steel pressure plate has 3 out of 4 welds cracked (right in th...

Re: Clutch Preasure Plate Repair

Andy,

If you could be so kind, aks the old man what material he used for brazing the pressure plate.
There are a couple of options there and I'm curious -as always- which one he did use.

Hey HIGHWAY89, I really love the looks of those very first Brembo street legal 4 piston brake calipers (P432d) on that Marzocchi M1R fork! I do have a pair of those calipers but my Paso 750 M1R fork has mounting eyes for Brembo's P08 calipers (108mm center distance) and so I need an adapte...

Re: Clutch Preasure Plate Repair

MC tool, You could consider brazing, the diameter of the hole is 16mm and the diameter of the "mushroom" is 20mm, so an overlap of 2mm. Should work and if it doesn't it's easy to remove the 2 parts with a "little" heat. Problem for me is that I have no idea why the weld cracked i...
